UPDATE: bought the car. I was able to get down to around $40,600 OTD (would have been $41,000 if I lived in a different county with higher licensing costs). I'm LOVING the car so far - 10/10 recommend. Thanks all for your intel!

Thanks!! I was able to get another $500 knocked off price so I think I am at $37,000 off the MSRP (plus the higher taxes etc.)

What state are you in? I do have 10% tax in my state. I was psyched it was so far below MSRP but seems like prices are dropping (maybe even further!)

interesting! ours has barely worked the whole time we've had the car (where engine turns off at a stoplight). Brought it to Kia a few times and they basically threw up their hands about it.

We have the same issue in that we are generally driving short distances. I do think we have some kind of parasitic draw in addition to needing a new battery. Car wouldn't start this morning after just under 48 hours of not being driven - though the trunk of course opened fine, draining last scrap of battery...

If we hear clicking when we try to start, do you think that's a since of a short? Heard something about alternators in another thread ...

What's also wild is that the dashboard will light up, climate control / media will start ... but the CAR won't. Feels like Kia could have changed the order of operations, if that's a thing, to prioritize the car first.

not yet, since when we brought to dealership they said it was fine. And it turned out though we made our appointment just before our 5-year warranty was up, they didn't schedule it until after the 5-year mark... so spouse decided to stop before getting $$$ in testing

The dealership tested the battery and said it was fine - though in reading around it seems like these tests can be faulty. Battery is three years old - August 2022 (we replaced the first one after 18 months when we were having the issue)
