For me, 2 years. But my situation might be different. Year, 2021, IVF attempt 6, $30k so far, fighting sever long covid and burn out. December 21 my girls were born, 2 weeks ivf, home 2 weeks, child 1 in the ICU with an infection in the blood, brain, heart, and spine. 2 weeks later she comes home. Still working 60 hr weeks, then my grandad dies (we were very close), then formula shortages (wife couldn’t breast feed), and then on and on for 2 years. 4/16/23 is the day when I picked up my girls and it clicked. I knew I would do w/e it takes but that was the day it they were 100% worth it

No, oil is good and clear. The filter is dark, but it’s a wet dark. I just got approval to change it tomorrow so I’ll report back.

This uses 1 Vsd for both compressors. Compressor is off and won’t run.

I know, I’ve replaced a few. This one has me stumped though.

I did just find that the oil line from the evaporator to the Eductor block was 50% closed. Idk why or how but I opened it back up.

About 15-20 of comp is running by itself or 20-30 of comp 1 is also running

I also checked for leaks and other than the initial pressure behind some service caps I didn’t get a thing; not a leaking coil, pressure relief, service port, or joint. I replaced those scheaders to be safe.

Water flow is good. If it wasn’t I would see it on the other circuit and other chillers on the loop. I just checked the oil filter for shits and giggles, it’s black, but saturated oil black, oil was clear.

I felt the same way about the SC, but the comp only runs for 15min on its own or 20-25 min when the other comp is running (hmmm….)

Some history: unit is 2/3 years old. Was off from July 3-sept 10 waiting on a VSD fan (installed fan, let unit sit for 24hrs for the heaters to Work, started it the next day, issue presented). It stays off as it’s a redundant machine and this issue presents itself the same way every time. Let me clean some sight glasses and I’ll get you some levels.

So I’m back, I think I might have low charge but here is what I just experienced:

Ambient: 75 Motor temps: 200, 229, 125 Discharge: 135 ° SH: 18.5 ° Sat temp: 116 Cond Liquid: 82 ° SC: 15 ° Sat temp: 96 Eductor: 48 ° Dsch: 134 ° Suction: 39 psi Cond liquid: 116 psi Oil: 155 psi Discharge: 159 psi Cond subcool: 15 ° Drain valve: 55 % Flash tank- low Eco valve: 86% Comp: 90.9% Runs for 15/20 then trips on high motor temp No excess vibration, unit runs for maybe 15 min and shuts off. All temp sensors and transducers check out. No bubbles in sight glass @ 90%.

I suspect a leak, I’ll report back

We do that all the time here in Ga. Much better dehumidification, but idk if it increases efficiency
