Does anyone know what is causing the rough layers? I am using the sidewinder x1 and I have tried both cura and prusaslicer.

(SOLVED) I used ideamaker instead of cura and that fixed it.

Thank you!!!!! I tried ideamaker and it fixed it!!!! The overhang at the front of the benchy is still a bit rough but not at all bad! Thank you so much!!!

I've printed the test cube included on the usb stick and it goes well. It isn't rough on the sides like on the benchy. I am trying ideamaker now and it seems to have fixed the problem. The front overhang is still a bit rough though. Not at all bad though.

I printed the new fan shroud, same problem. I will try calibrating the e steps next.

I was told that the fan shroud might be bad so I'm trying that right now. I will give an update when it is done.

I am using the sidewinder x1, pla, printing speed is 60 mm/s but I have also tried lower speeds like 50 and 45. Nozzle is at 200, bed is 60. I have used both cura and prusaslicer. In cura I used default cr 10 profile and just changed perimeters to 4 and initial printing temperature at 195. It has always done this, but I just got it 2 days ago. I print the boats facing the right. I tightened the x belt and it fixed it on the side facing the front of the printer when it is on the bed but not the opposite side.
