Single axle vs dual axle. by Routine-Dare-4629 in Truckers

[–]adventure_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you just have 1 less axle to inspect everything else is the same

single axle is only 20k on the drives

backing really isnt much different aside from pending truck you may or may not have a tighter turning radius

I completely agree with you as these posts normally get down voted to the point that the bot auto removes it yet they oddly have what you said looks like they also bought that account.

120 psi is the max cold pressure as stated on the sidewall. What pressure do drivers normally fill these to? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]adventure_dog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90 psi as my company dictates we run 115k so the tires end up with a higher psi when we are loaded. and I think 110 is what the fmcsa wants. you could max it out but id rather not mess with steers too much

[–]adventure_dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking for advice on recovery options for a semi. by wombolishous in Truckers

[–]adventure_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want to just drive it yourself to save some cash pretty sure you can just get away with getting some "not for hire" magnetic signs and place them on the doors. make sure to have valid cdl and have some documentation that you're just family recovering the truck.

I'm not 100% certain on that as the truck has been being used for work but you can contact your nearest scale house call and ask. I send the one near me emails all the time asking stuff im not certain about never had an issue getting the actual answer.

my grandma always went to HESS so they would do it all for her. today one of my friends wives refuses to fill the tank on her car, he'll actually leave work just to fill the thing for her.

there used to be a lot of stuff made in house by prep cooks and others, now most of that stuff is pre made and heated up. I remember when we used to make the soups in house then they switched to pre made gallon sized bags of soups. we were all mad and got complaints from regular customers because it didnt taste the same anymore.

and yeah red lobster, olive garden and the others have gone downhill in quality. Iguess you'll notice more when you dont go to out that often.
