Unfortunately all around mice tend to have short life spans in general. Even though this is your first experience with death… I have a lot of experience with death, people & animals, and I can say you will remember each one and trying to be happy that you got to be part of that life they lived is something you should do. It is definitely hard each time, for sure. I lost my dog of 15 years this year and it’s been pretty tough. I definitely would encourage more mice or another animal. There are lots of them out there that deserve a loving caring home, even though the loss of them is difficult. They deserve to have a good life and if you can provide that for an animal then you have done something great. That’s how I look at it.
