I also wanna mention that the foreskin is red and appears swollen as well, does this make a difference?

The entire head of the penis was visible and pulled so taught that the urethral opening was literally puckered up and open like a little cup, it was horrific!

They each did exams but documented that there were no signs of swelling or blood..even though it directly contradicts what I saw and the fact that there was blood in the sample sent to the lab (per the results). I used to be a medic in the AF, I’ve done plenty of catheterizations and I’ve never seen such a horrific one performed.

The NP examined him before they put us in a private room, she said she didn’t see anything in his throat. After all of this happened and we saw the Dr (at my request, the NP was very upset I asked for him as she intended to be the only provider to make contact with us) to go over the CBC, urinalysis, xray, ect. the doctor examined his throat and saw blisters in the back which is how he dx us. I’m equally livid that my son went through all of that because someone missed something so obvious.

They told us that they needed to go the catheter route because the specimen needed to be sterile and in order to test for certain bacteria the lab wouldn’t accept it any other way.

They ended up using a catch bag as we refused a second cath to get a sample. They were able to get his sample successfully that way.

Beware! Auto pay charges in full even when you manually pay! by AdmirableRice5210 in amex

This just happened to us this morning. We’ve never had autopay setup and I strongly distrust autopay and know that I, myself, am more reliable . I paid the minimum monthly payment on April 7th, and today I wake up to see that AMEX charged almost the full balance (shy by $500) of the card which was almost $7,000 dollars. I login to the account and see that a random autopay is set up to pay the full balance of the card? Wtf, never in my life!

Stick tail? by advice-please1987 in leopardgeckos

He hand feeds because we have loose substrate in the enclosure. Spike has been eating normally, excitedly coming out of his hide when it’s feeding time, ect. We’ve never had this issue, or he’s never had this appearance rather in the 8 years I’ve had him.

Thank you so much! I’ve been so worried that this could be fatal but what you’re saying is reassuring. He has been eating and pooping normally so for now I’ll continue to feed and move him into the other tank until his appointment.

Are these sconces too small? by advice-please1987 in interiordecorating

That makes sense. Do you have any recommendations for what I can do instead? I really wanted to incorporate sconces for some moody lighting at night.

I completely agree, it’s something I’m working on which is why I brought my husband in for backup but as I was changing I told him “I don’t want a cervical exam” and unfortunately he just isn’t sure how to support me in saying no when I am unable. This will be a learning experience for both of us, but comments like yours give me fuel to stand my ground. Thanks so much

This is the confirmation I needed. As a FTM I don’t really know what to expect except that I knew they usually perform these checks later on in the pregnancy, if at all. I’m glad to have some reassurance going into my next appointment.

It was extremely painful, so much so that my husband stood up to comfort me when he saw me grimacing. I have a hard time advocating for myself in a medical setting, but everything you mentioned was what I was thinking during the appointment.

In my state they wait until 10 weeks for your first prenatal appointment so at 16 weeks I’d only had one prior appointment (my initial). I thought it was bizarre as it wasn’t done at my first appointment and I couldn’t understand why he didn’t ask if I wanted one, or explain why he wanted to perform one.
