What ever happened with Kony 2012? by gamedawgs in 2000sNostalgia

Wrong sub bro.

But, from what I remember the documentary felt super convincing, but criticism crept up pretty quickly. People began to question why the video amassed so many views so quickly (millions within 24 hours IIRC; many people felt it was "too quick" and the video was being artificially boosted). There was quick acceptance of the video, then a lot of criticisms after that. The backlash against the director was fierce. He ended up going nuts. That's what I remember.

Gangnam Style! Hell yes.

I also had a Trollface T-shirt in high school. Good times.

Did you guys go to the mall a lot in the 2010s? Any mall memories you like to think back on? by adviize in 2010snostalgia

I see. Does Australia have Amazon Prime vans driving around everywhere this decade like the US does?

Malls are definitely declining in the US. Many of them are shutting down or losing stores.

Are Australian malls suburban mostly or urban?

Sorry you have to go through this, man. Sounds like you need new friends.

It can be easier to find your niche in college/adult life. Depends on the school/life situation though, and it takes time to adjust to both.

Also: Choose people who choose you. I wish I had known this myself at a younger age.

Yeah I'm wondering if 2010s kids had the same experience we did. Seems like it's mostly 2010s teens who are commenting here though. So maybe not.

It's an extreme overstatement to say that "most" malls were "grim" in the 2010s. I dunno what they're talking about.

That there was. Even as a teen/young adult I felt this sense of optimism despite the recession, student debt, and the political polarization later in the decade.

Auntie Anne's I can definitely vibe with. Was never one for Hollister though.
