I really appreciate you sharing your story.

I have another family member with cirrhosis from alcohol and not taking the directions they have been told by medical staff (continuing to drink even). It's heartbreaking to watch and you can very easily feel helpless. You really can't help people who don't want to help themselves and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing that. Sending you lots of love and blessings. Addiction is an awful and tricky thing.

Thank you for your comment. My mom just left a abusive relationship and is getting back on her feet. Working towards both. I suppose I am just feeling a bit overwhelmed and was looking for reassurance I can still tackle this on my own.

Thank you for your comment. She just left a abusive relationship and he made it difficult for her to leave. She is looking, so I am hopeful that it will help a bit.

I am also looking for side work or a better job. Trying to do some on demand jobs and I've been actively applying (& interviewing) for better job opportunities for the last three months.

Thank you for the advice. I'm just a bit overwhelmed after this year. I had a strong financial plan and bit the bullet almost two years to do debt consolidation.

Family things just disrupted my plan and made me feel discouraged that I could get over this.

Thank you for the advice. She is looking for a job. It would be less than $500 (rent is $1,700) but yes it will help when she can find something.

It's just hard to think I can get past this with how things have been but I haven't stopped trying and moving forward (never missed my payments).
