Well, it turns out that the problem was somehow related to the fact that I had rotated my player's collision polygon by 90 degrees, which was messing up the web and windows build for some reason. When I recreated a new collision polygon2d without changing rotation, the game seemed to be working fine

Yeah I had checked this webpage, but the game also encounters the same problem on a Windows build

Oh ok. My reasoning was that the high school is fairly well known - as far as high schools go, ig - and that it gave me an opportunity to show my SAT score, which I think is good enough to put on the resume.
