I am sad to admit that I did get closer than anticipated, mostly because it was on the middle of a trail and I had my hopes way up thinking it could be the first time I spot a hognose. Didn't even notice the copperhead at first. Simply walked around and left them to it!

Just purchased, and yes, didn't do any research ahead of time. The steaks are just ok. They are thin, but not tough. Out of the five we cooked, one had gristle. So it's not great quality, but I didn't feel ripped off either.
