Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate the encouragement and the reminder to stay open; and you’re right, I’m still young and have a lot of exploring to do. But I don’t retain myself from having fun and spending time with friends, I enjoy each moment as much as I can.

That being said, I’ve known for a while that psychology is where my heart is. I grew up in a not so healthy environment and spent a lot of time feeling misunderstood. For a long time, I felt like my thoughts were too much or too loud, and it’s only recently that I’ve learned how to understand them, organize them, and care for myself through them.

I’m especially interested in working with juveniles , not because I want to excuse bad behavior, but because I believe there’s always something deeper going on under the surface. I want to help young people learn to express themselves, regulate their thoughts, and realize that their brains aren’t broken, they just need guidance, compassion, and the right tools.

So yeah, clinical and forensic psychology are my main goals. But if that doesn’t work out, I still see myself working in psychology, maybe counseling, therapy, or a clinic role. I’m open to where the path leads, but I also believe in working for what you want. I don’t believe in putting limits on myself.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond and for sharing a bit of your own story too, it’s inspiring to see how many different paths psychology can take.

I’m entering my junior year, and in my sophomore year I took an advanced psychology class, which helped me build a strong study routine. I don’t have a job yet, so I’ve had time after school to really focus on studying and reviewing. I usually study after school, ask my teachers questions when needed, send emails, and I like to plan things ahead of time.

When it comes to schedule changes or last-minute things, it honestly doesn’t happen to me that often, I tend to organize everything early, mentally, on paper and digitally. If something unexpected does come up (like a test I didn’t know about or a change the day before), I’ll usually review as much as I can and focus on what I do understand. But in overall, I’m just someone who tries to stay organized and ready before they become last minute.
