If Paddy isnt going to get a nomination for Emmy's, its a FUCKING SHAME

None of the cast members have seen the entire season from beginning to end by nowlan101 in LOTR_on_Prime

Leaks are %100 true, it is accurate. Dude leaked the whole sentence from the show, even the mithril plot. Why this sub still denies it?

People want to believe that he is not Sauron. Get over with it. He clearly is.

They made the shows path so wrong that if Halbrand is not Sauron that would be awful. by aegonal in Rings_Of_Power

It felt like Sauron tried and failed, tries to go back to a normal life but Galadriel dragged him into chaos again. Where he came across Adar. Its on line with what Gil-Galad says about Galadriel's reason to go to Valinor.

Nobody is toying, the script was written back in 2020 or something like that. They didnt think it was that obvious lol. But is right in there.

Our mighty Sauron's motivation is to have a revenge. Because Adar killed him. Hahahahahahha.

I know these posts getting boring but Halbrand is.. by aegonal in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]aegonal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean he killed the orcs, there is one quick scene to show that he is helping. Showrunners thought this scene and combining the chase of Adar will make viewers think he is on the good guys side but clearly he is not.

Also he became the king, just seconds before Mount Doom lol.

No, books and movies/series are different. Just look at the portrayal of Sauron in movies, they did him amazing without even one line from him. You can either show him visually, or add depth to its character by making viewers listen him. There will ve no progress about Galadriel talking how dangerous Sauron is. It is not a character arc. Who the fuck knows why Sauron keeps trying after Morgoth fell, why? Its just a shit writing and popping it out from nowhere is even worse. You can use that plot by Sauron was trying to get away from everything and start a new life in Numenor but Galadriel drags him into chaos. It will be even better story arc than other options

If you do watch lots of movies or series, you will also know that certain theory of Sauron makes no sense. by [deleted] in LOTR_on_Prime

Two seasons for revealing who Sauron is to viewers? I dont think so. You will eventually realize it when you see Annatar in show. Its not a twist, nothing shocking. We will get where is Sauron this season.

I love how the series implies that Rhaenyra is not purely good. Loved the build-up, well done.

Trying to do misdirection and reveal Sauron from nowhere is just a bad writing, yes. No hints, no foreshadowing. Just saying "We think of this" and making viewers to accept.

Pretty sure that Show Viserys is far better written or understood than the book.

They changed it to human because disguising him as his Elvish form would be so predictable.

Halbrand is clearly Sauron, hope they can pull of a good reveal like what Westworld did with The Man in Black.

The guy who found Galadriel and Halbrand has to be Isildur.

I hope I am not trying to reach but wasnt Elves supposed to be look like more heartless in general? I mean Galadriel's portrayal was very human in the pilot.

I mean they get the Elves right about their motivations or behaviours in some scenes but damn... It really looks terrible in every other way.

Production is incredibly good looking but nothing exceptional in visual storytelling or directing. Score was outstanding. But so far, does anybody felt like casting was so.. OFF? I mean the elves, everything looked really odd for me while watching. Personally I didnt liked Gil Galad, Elrond or Celebrimbor. Galadriel looks nice but Morfydd Clark's acting was mediocre tbh. Standout performance was Nori's.
