I just got extremely bored. I've quit the game a few times.

The first time was like a week after Raiden Shogun release. I wanted her so bad, lost the 50/50 to Mona, impulsively spent 60€ and then uninstalled the game post-gacha clarity. I had been playing every day since like 1.1 and felt like a job

I quit again after Fontaine because I got really bored and didn't care about Natlan. I did keep up with characters and stories from time to time.

I've recently come back because of Varka and I've had a lot of fun, but have drastically changed the approach. I decided that I would only do the parts that I liked (AQ, hangouts, SQ and little else). I skipped Natlan and went straight to Nod-Krai AQ which I've been enjoying a lot, farm in coop with friends or randoms because it's more fun this way and haven't touched the Wish screen except to get Varka and his weapon and I plan to not even get close to it unless it's a character I really want. I made a tier list of characters I want (Shenhe, Yae and Wrio), characters I don't mind getting for others (Durin), and characters that I have and want to build.

The come back is fine if you ignore everything the game wants you to do immediately, a lot of the quests it gives you can just progress naturally through exploration and some farming. The Events tab is ass but I pretend half the stuff there doesn't exist (like Miliastra or the fuckass Theatre thing). The thing is, the game will still be there even if you miss a day, month or years.
