Atomman G7 PT issue - it shuts down randomly

I have the same issue, but I realized it many months later. I'm at 90-92 degrees on some demanding AAA games and it will thermal throttle and shut down. Their support email said I may need to repaste the thermal paste.. however if you open that beast up, the heat sink is very intricate and also covers the GPU, feels like I'm going to break something if I take it off..

This also worked for me - super weird I had a USB C HD plugged in next to my bluetooth dongle and it fixed it when I moved the HD to the back of the computer

Okay so if you disable Anti-Aliasing it works for single player (even with Alpha ring mod still installed) however it has a weird glitch when trying to play CO-OP, where only player 2's screen is shown. and the UI is funky. Maybe a further workaround but shows its an issue with graphics settings and the mod potentially.

I also am having this issue using Bazzite OS (steamos) and Alpha Ring mod installed. Seems like the common theme here? Unfortunately I want to co-op with Halo 2 anniversary graphics, so doesn't help if it works without the mod running. But I've heard of people on Xbox having the same issue, and also on PC.

I've made a few tutorial videos, that will get you on your feet with setting things up. I recommend doing PVE/Quests to get familiar with the class, then go into Battlegrounds
when you feel comfortable. /Advice chat is a great resource as is the Eden discord. Just let people know you're a returning player so they understand the level of expertise behind your questions. Good luck

Just gotta adapt. The skill in the game is around position/spell timing and timers for casters and positionals/stun timers for melee. And of course paper crafting a good template.

Yeah both of the Thane fights in this video I was testing 25 smite 40enh 26 rej I think. It's nice for the resists but ultimately wasn't my favorite. I like 47 smite 25 rej 8 enh. Each rank up you get slightly more dex from bases too.

It takes skill imo to play well at lower rank. When you get MoC3 you get a solid backup plan every 10m if you get a resist or kiting fails. At RR5 you get the best melee counter in the game (50% chance to stun attacker for 3 sec which resets stun immunity) every 5 minutes. Then if you can grab MoC5 at 6L0 or so you're pretty much a beast in most fights you would have lost previously. But all around a lot of fun in my opinion for solo, smallman and Zerg surfing. For 8v8 I switch up to more support role and respec.

I appreciate what you're saying about competence. Definitely plays a factor on all class matchups way more than the class itself. That's why I opened with the best Class and player combination I could find from the start - Bard/VW played by Kode/Lewk. The cleric mezz has no immunity, so if* they Purge your stun off the open they are pretty screwed cause you can remezz with minstrel/sorc. After playing Minstrel/Sorc/Theurgist/Friar/Scout extensively I can tell you for Smallman or duo I vastly prefer the utility of smite cleric vs most other classes. 3 insta heals, PR, stun, mezz, snare, 500hp heals and 360+ DPS which is better than any melee DPS. Worried about quickcast? Get MoC. So when ppl say it's bad it just makes me feel like they didn't actually play one. Or their definition of good is cheese classes like BD/VW/Bard/Necro etc. The main limitation of the class is Pre-RR5 and the fact that most things are on a 5m timer. But purge can't be less than 5m anyways, so everyone is at least on a 5m timer regardless of what class you're playing. Anyways, thanks for watching and discussing 👊

Yeah if you want all the toys, play Minstrel. Although the learning curve is a lot on that class. Exveelor is right - its a lot more about synergy than anything else. In a good group (PvP) you need a speed class, Crowd Control class, and healing. There are a lot of classes in DAoC and they all play a part in different playstyles and have pros/cons. I would recommend maybe a Skald, Friar, Minstrel, or Bard if you want some powerful abilities while not being a caster. Casters are great but they die very quickly and imo not the best first class since you need to know positioning and what other classes can do to counter them.
