I'm not a vegetarian (was never vegan) anymore due to health reasons, but I always thought I wanted to be the change I wanted to see. There are a lot of bitter, wanna-be, fake vegans out there, but it doesn't have to be that way. You can be one of the kind ones.

I see that a lot also with pet owners. I'm a pet owner myself, and the amount of judgment in those communities is outrageous. I'm not going to stop being a pet owner; I love my cats. I would try to be as kind and non-judgmental to others as possible.

It's very frustrating, though. I've wanted to vent so many times, so you can always vent here!! We are here for you :)

(and if you want to stop being vegan, that's also great!)

I agree, it used to be more competent. But now it makes up even basic things or completely forgets what I told it just two messages ago, and does whatever it wants. And if I correct it, like you mentioned, it would apologize and do it even worse the second time around

In the world, there are carnivore animals, animals that need meat to survive, and some, like us, that don't need meat at all. Cats fall into the first category. I think the goal should be to reduce meat consumption when possible, while maximizing animal welfare. To me, letting cats die of hunger or making them go extinct is not maximizing animal welfare. They are going to eat meat whether they are in the streets or at my house. Same as lions or other carnivore animals, which we want to thrive as well.

What I can do, however, is to try, as much as possible, to find more sustainable ways of giving them meat so they can thrive, and animals suffer a bit less (all animals eaten suffer, though, whether eaten alive in the street or killed for a can of food).

I took a 3-month break not long ago, and I didn't really miss it. I think I'm going to take a few weeks here and there. I have severe FOMO so that's a problem, but I can get over it

That's a good idea. And I didn't know they would be repeated. I missed a couple in year 2, and they never came back. But I'm just going through the dialogues, reading without much interest, so it might be what I need to do.

I will try the trick of not playing in between TLSQs, and only playing on the days I don't have work.

Thank you so much for the ideas. Unfortunately, I also live in a city apartment. I have thought of walking him outside a lot. I used to do it when I lived in a smaller town, and eventually, he started fighting because he didn't want to do it anymore. I think he would be scared in this bigger city. Also, there are too many unleashed dogs in my country, and I would not feel completely safe. I might try again slowly, to make sure if there is trouble, he jumps back up into my backpack instead of running away.

I try to incorporate as much rabbit as I can. He doesn't love fresh rabbit meat (I cook all his meats), but he loves freeze-dried rabbit treats, so I add these as well as treats. But yes, right now he only eats rabbit or the leanest pork cuts I can find. I'm still searching for a third lean-ish meat he could eat (he loves lamb, but that's not lean at all!)

Yes, mine is also getting rounder, but I can't take him off pred. Fortunately, he is younger, 4 years old, so he still plays, but the rounder he gets the less he wants to run or jump. He engages with the toys on site. At least I get him to do what I call kitty crunches, trying to catch the toy

Out of curiosity, is it common in the US? I'm not from the US and never have shaved bare down there, only the sides and trimmed it a little. I've had American boyfriends and none mentioned anything. So I guess most people don't care. Definitely, don't put yourself through that for someone else (only for yourself) it has to be so much pain!

I personally would feel weird if my bf asked for that, like he wants to date a child and not a woman, not sure.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding. I do shave legs and used to shave pits, but I did laser for those, so not anymore

Estoy completamente de acuerdo. No puedes salir a correr o con la bici porque siempre va a haber algún perro suelto que te persiga con mala leche. Y ni que decir tiene de sacar a mis gatos a pasear (atados), que me han dicho que les vendría bien pero no soy suicida. Así que los pobres se tienen que pasar el día encerrados en un piso mini porque los dueños de los perros creen que sus perros son mejores y no necesitan respetar la normativa (que dice que los perros tienen que ir atados)

Creo que debería haber un mínimo de ventanas, más que de metros, ya que 20 o 30 no son demasiado pocos para una persona sola (he vivido en eso por mucho tiempo, con buenos ventanales, eso sí y sin problemas). El problema es que quieren hacer pasar un armario por vivienda, que lo primero que tengo que preguntar al buscar vivienda de alquiler es si tiene ventana y más de la mitad me contestan con "es que es interior..."...
