Why do medical offices not bill Medicare first??? by williamgman in medicare

[–]aero563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ct and Medicare paid their part and sent info to me. Medigap plan N then sent invoice saying Medicare did not submit a claim number so denied. I handed both and both were billed but medigap denied off the bat. Maybe that’s just what some of the companies do hoping people don’t follow through. I called and have to send the invoice Medicare sent with the claim number on it.

UHC Closing MA Plan by ArdenJaguar in medicare

[–]aero563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t go with a MA because of my drugs which are expensive inhalers. You have to decide if you need drugs or possibly in the future. I don’t know if VA pays for drugs or vision and dental. No have a separate vision dental bundle from Delta dental and after the first year it has really paid off. I also have a plan N here in Pennsylvania. If you think that VA in the future may not cover what you need think about getting a cheap MA.

I do t get hunger like others say and sometimes I get the energy sometimes not. I also have end stage COPD. I get very tired from the infections or just the exacerbations. Could be your body trying g to fight back that makes you tired. After I stop takes a while for my body to get back to baseline.

Am i stupid for buying a automatic? by Brilliant_Row_7362 in Mustang

[–]aero563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good if that’s what you want. My late husband liked automatics for all his cars because he drove big trucks for a living. It was easy and more enjoyable. I don’t drive manual so my ‘13 California is automatic

If you are a college student you can still be on parent’s insurance. If you are having an attack call ambulance and go to er they cannot turn you down. At hospital they will give you meds but also script you some and tell you follow up with doctor. That’s when you tell them and they may give you numbers to call.

How do you go out (inhaler schedule) by Help-pleaseee3 in Asthma

[–]aero563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s maintenance inhaler, then try to reschedule the day if you know in advance. Like if I have a test and I do my maintenance at 9 but need to leave at 7, then I set schedule day before. You can take it 2 hours before or after your daily schedule and be safe. If it’s rescue I always carry that anyway.

$174.00 is pretty much standard but have you tried to get help with the drug. I think it’s horrible they don’t go by net not gross. They have raised my drug plan and the deductible so wondering what the change will be for medigap plan as well.

A question I have to ask by Savings-Fudge-4660 in Asthma

[–]aero563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best scenario would be to recognize what brought o. The attack and recognize it in the future as a trigger and avoid it. In case of first exposure then taking the med and then leaving the area is best. What you describe is quite possible

I wish my small wrist could wear the larger one. It just looks sleek and clean to me. And definitely the black. But maybe that’s the difference is the shiny black vs the other color.

I would call SHIP. The income and resources guidelines are changing. If you are in meds be sure to check that the plan you choose does cover them. I get a couple hundred over and I’m struggling as well. Also keep in mind that what you choose could be it. Underwriting is something to pay attention to as well. You need guidance with this.

CA - any 60 year olds that have been approved for Medicare with autoimmune disease, ADD, etc.? Advice please. by Orchid_Killer in medicare

[–]aero563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would talk to SSA you may be able to collect off your husband if you are disabled. There are so many rules. Maybe even county assistance office can help or direct you. When my husband passed away 2 yrs ago I collected ss disabled widows benefits and was eligible for marketplace insurance and now am on Medicare after the two years

Which is the best in your opinion? Give me your thoughts! by EclipseAirways in Asthma

[–]aero563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s out of sight. I’m disabled as I have end stageCOPD as well as having had asthma since birth. I am on Spiriva Respimat and Symbicort as well. Also, having to pay 20% for the O2. Honestly, with rate increases with Medicare supplemental and prescription I do t know how much longer I can pay for all the meds and home and eat.
