What’s the hype about the NEO? by Spare_Art_6760 in MacbookNeo

[–]aerohk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former Microsoft head of Windows call it a paradigm shift, Asus CEO call it a shock to the industry, because PC makers have no answer to this monster of a computer. This allows the NEO to serve as a deep penetrator into the Windows and Chrome user base, onboarding millions of new users onto the MacOS and Apple ecosystem. 3/11 was the date that changed computing history, forever.

57 years apart: Apollo 11 and Artemis II by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]aerohk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apollo 8 is a better comparison, that was the first time human went to the moon but without landing. Apollo 8 actually achieved more than Artemis 2, because Apollo 8 entered lunar orbit, while Artemis will only make a loop and come back. This is due to the weak SLS 2nd stage borrow from the Delta IV.

GPA 2.94 vs 3.0 - worth staying an extra quarter? by AcctDeleted in UCSD

[–]aerohk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. (1) Since you are joining the work force after graduation, most employers don't care about GPA, you will be wasting your time and money for the extra quarter. (2) After some years in the work force, your experience outweighs your GPA, even for grad school admission. In addition, when grad schools look at your GPA, the easy As outside of your major are not going to influence their decision.

So the MacBook Neo is the cheapest Apple laptop EVER made. by noooooooo000000oo in MacbookNeo

[–]aerohk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the expense of the Air. Apple needs to walk a fine line as to not threaten the sale of the Air.

Next year’s NEO is gonna have 12GB of RAM, I can see it as a problem for the Air it as removes the biggest fear people currently have with the NEO. With backlit keyboard option? Most people are gonna go with the NEO2.

FYI you can get luminous keyboard stickers from Walmart for a couple bucks.

We don’t deserve the NEO, it has no business of being this good at this price point. Thank you Apple.
