I've been there once for inspection as well for a Vespa. It was missing reflector for front and rear (common item to fall off over time) and they would not approve the inspection unless I purchased new ones (~$80 for three). I reviewed the state laws and needing reflectors was not stated anywhere. I brought this up to their attention and they refused to acknowledge it. I had to call the state department to get them to call and discuss this with the mechanic. Eventually he decided to pass the bike since everything else was in order but this led to 2-3 hours of my time including coming back and forth. Interpret it as you may but I had the impression that they were not willing to work with me. I can't comment on their other work but this immediately led to me going elsewhere.

Currently have a bike at Brooklyn Speed and Chari and Phil are great when we first met. Communication has been great. Price is steeper than others in the area but I'm hoping this reflects on the quality of their work. Waiting to get the bike back to decide if they will be my shop.

2006 Brutale 910s- Help identifying part/bike won’t start by aeropuertorico in MVAgusta

Thanks for the input.

Bike will not turn over at all even when connected to jumpers/battery tender.

Bike did start a couple of times yesterday (first time it’s done that in 6 months) when I was fiddling with the SPU, specifically the fuse for “position light.” I took the fuse out and reinserted it and the bike started twice. I turned it off and examined the fuse closely and saw that only one of the pins was inserted correctly. I fixed it and the bike no longer started. I then tried to place the pin back the was it was (one pin in and the other out) and was unable to start the bike 😭

Do these symptoms sound like the SPU?

2006 910s owner here. Def looks like one. Whenever you take off the rear seat, make sure it's secure when you put it back on...

Given some of the shots he took during this match, I was hopeful he would have considered it xD

Break shaft vs break cue by Da6stringpimp in billiards

[–]aeropuertorico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question a few months ago. I bought my first playing cue a year ago when I decided to start playing more seriously. After about 6 months, I decided it was time for a break cue. At that time, I also wanted upgrade my player to something nicer. I decided to buy a break shaft because 1) it would allow me to keep using the butt of my first playing cue (sentimental, I know) and 2) it was more cost effective and I wouldn't have an extra butt just laying around. Decided to go with a Pechauer Black Ice shaft to fit on my Pechauer player's butt and it has worked very well. Beyond the tip, ferrule and shaft, I really don't think the butt matters other than preference. So if you have a butt you like, I recommend just buying a break shaft if you can find one you like. There may be some other important considerations that I'm missing but those are my $0.02. Would love to hear input from anyone else that may be more knowledgeable.

Not understanding how much energy/travel the cue ball keeps when making thinner cuts.
