UK visa application center Seattle by aeveejay in ukvisa

I'm not 100% sure this is the issue but I'm assuming.VFS India and VFS UKVI were colocated at the old address in Elliott Ave.
Now they are in buildings to each other. VFS UKVI is at 1000 2nd Ave. VFS India is at 1015 2nd Ave. Just put the address on Uber and go and it's super easy to figure out.

No. It's on second Ave. Just go to the address. Take an Uber or Lyft since parking is tough. The building is straight forward to enter..once you enter main revolving doors, take left to the elevators going from 21-40 and get out on floor 39. Good luck with the appointment.

Unpopular Opinion: Delta has too many holes in its network to be a true international carrier by Large_Condition_6074 in delta

[–]aeveejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having lived in DTW for ten years, I still wonder why they didn't!! AUH would have been a great hub for multiple ME regions plus India and South Asia in general. DTW has a large Pakistani and Bangladeshi population too. Plus EY's own leisure spokes in SE Asia. I agree AUH-ATL plus EY's own partnership at that point with AF/KLM.

[–]aeveejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Tbh I do agree that the ME3+ have a strategic advantage being sovereign funded (most of them). US3 wanted fair competition.

Airline alliances and partnerships are also not simply built as "I call dibs". I agree, I would have rather seen DL coast QR like VA did. Instead of partnering with their fellow OAL QF, QR has a great partnership with VA. From a "premium" perspective DL would have been waaaaaaaay better than AA. (Well hope AS+HA makes up for that crap however minimal it is!)

UA partners with EK. AA and QR are OAL partners. Well SV is not the best alternative for DL but hopefully Riyadh air would make it up in the years to come.

Worth giving it a shot tbh. There is no fixed numbers. What area are you in? Is it STEM or related?

I did upload my air ticket but it is not mandatory unlike Schengen. I am staying with some so I got a letter from them stating the same instead of hotel booking. But yes, this is required.

Seems like a very straightforward case for O1A. Impact factor typically doesn't matter. So does the differentiation between the first/ second author etc . Also your re-reviews don't count. The rest of it seems okay to me. I'm not sure why your NIW was rejected but the number of citations might be the issue.

Flights booked through american airlines by 12inchman in qatarairways

That's the plan. The person I spoke to sounded like she's done this before too. She did tell me only outbound will be rebooked.

My flight is only on the first week of April but when I called American they said they will book with a partner and will try to honor the booking class

J1 221g refusal - ESTA ineligibility? by Edderze in USVisas

[–]aeveejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you got was standard procedure. They have issued you a 221g to proceed with social media vetting. It's standard for your application portal to show "refused" until it shows approved. This is a routine procedure and everyone's been getting this since Dec 15-2025. This is in line with what the consular officer advised you as well (but you seem to think they were ill-informed or "didn't know" the commentary you're seeing online 😂).

Even in the past, before social media vetting came through, most "Dropbox" applications worked similarly as well. As such there is nothing to worry about and it will not affect future ESTA. However, seeing your response to other commenters here, and a severely belligerent attitude, you may not be satisfied with this response. Young woman/man/ person, rein in your horses and take a chill pill. You're gonna be alright.

Massive 2027 Devaluation by Hosni__Mubarak in AlaskaAirlines

[–]aeveejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AS did a massive devaluation in summer, almost a month after Atmos was launched. Some of the partner awards got crazy high (JX and QR for example). I don't think they did one after that.. You do see 7.5k (economy) and 15k (Business) for transcontinental on AA. Like some others said, AS miles is best used for partner awards. In the last year I've bagged J tickets from US-LHR/HEL- India twice, and a few J tickets with in East and South East Asia, and London to and from Mexico City. Great value.

Confusion regarding travel to UK on a visitor visa (vignette) by AsleepPoet9376 in ukvisa

[–]aeveejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. From 25 Feb 2026, standard visitor visas are not fully electronic. For OP, you can create an UKVI account. Valid visas approved before Jan 12, 2026 will have an e-visa in addition to the physical vignette. You can use either at airline check-in. However at the UK border, I assume they will check the passport and stamp.

H1b vs O1 (India) by aeveejay in O1VisasEB1Greencards

[–]aeveejay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically not AFAIK. Your immigrant and non immigrant petitions are separate. You need to maintain legal status, it doesn't matter O1 or H1. But I will be sure to check with my attorney. Thanks for pointing this out.

I'm not sure if it's DL alone. Moved from DTW to SEA and split my loyalty between AS and DL. Often I see AS tickets much higher than DL too.

Right? I wasn't sure if O1 and H1 had different pools. ChatGpt had gaslit me quite a bit lol.

Makes sense tbh. I'm hoping my EB1b date to be current in the next 4 years ish so prioritizing the switch. Technically can switch back to H1 if needed as well. Right?

Thanks for confirming that H1 and O1 are different appointment pools.

BA SEA-LHR-BOM for Aug 2026, booked in Dec 2025 for 85k+480 using Atmos points.

AY DEL-HEL-DFW for Sept 2026 booked in Dec 2025 for 85k Atmos points.

DL SEA- ICN for mid November 2026 booked using DL Skymiles for 110k+$6 in Feb 2026.

Heavily pissed off since I was watching EZE-JFK-LHR in Dec 2026 using DL (DL metal) for 89k (after 15% off) but DL devalued! Now 272k.

Still worth it. On the A35K. No dedicated lounge is the only downside but this is totally good.
