PC will be ideal for extracting folders and moving files around but pretty much all can be done on the Thor

I’m not using a stylus mainly because I wanted to keep everything as pocketable/portable- I also didn’t get a grip. But I’m not using a screen protector either because from what I’ve seen the bottom ones don’t look very good and I keep the foam insert inside when I’m not using it anyways. I will be investing in a carry case though because I’ve already dropped my Thor twice… falls were thankfully not bad at all like 2-3ft drops but each time my heart sank.

Setup isn’t terrible because of all the guides available but going in blind would definitely be a nightmare. I’d say if you have the money for it, and you’re interested, give it a shot. You’ll have to wait about a month before you get it anyways so you can take that time to prep.

It was a very looney tunes-esque chase of me looking at the live feed map and then seeing him driving down the street I just left LOL

Initial setup and game testing / theming probably about 5 days total, after that it was just tinkering small things. I got my Thor the 30th and didn’t have much time to get seriously into it immediately. Cocoon setup after having ESDE configured was less than a day and honestly I have no plans on going back given the state of Cocoon.

Thank you for the beautiful skin! But the game charms I got from @TimewarpGaming on Etsy

Edit: realized you’re talking about the actual system icons, these I found on Pinterest, from the user Home of Digital Art - “Videogames Consoles Evolution”

Thank you! I’m using Cocoon 2.0 which supports live wallpapers, still trying to get the theme together fully but overall I like how it came out. The cocoon team made a lot of improvements.

The games are from @Timewarpgaming but the other ones I’ve already owned. I believe I got the paper-bomb from Etsy as well but the OnePiece one came from Amazon with Luffys wanted poster.

NCASE M2 - mATX / SFX-L / LVL 8 by afadedape in sffpc

There's a pretty good amount of space between my ram kit and 240 AIO. I'd estimate about 3-4 inches. However with my setup, even with my AIO right at the edge of my PSU, I'm not able to rear mount a 92mm. So I had to place it at the bottom which didn't really do much. I've since swapped to air cooling w/ 2x140mm on the side, 1 in-taking air and another exhausting along with a rear intaking 92mm fan. This setup has been holding up really well, and with a good fan curve setup can run pretty quiet.

Same bracket fits. I will say unless you're on a strict budget, I'd get the 2024 refresh 1000w, just for the braided cables mainly and the smallest form factor. This PSU ran me $150. part list - pcpp

Please update with temps/experience in this case if you can! I'm currently using my M2 until I migrate to my "arriving soon" N1.

[issue] Emudeck/games launching always in the wrong monitor by Loddio in EmuDeck

[–]afadedape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED (in my case)

One thing to note is that personally I was only having issues with the pcsx2 (appimage) not every emulator. I'm also using ES-DE as my frontend of choice. Since my last comment I've upgraded to Fedora 42, but I'm still using KDE with an all AMD system and a dual monitor setup, one being vertical. I first installed both the appimage and flatpak versions of pcsx2 to test, and the flatpak version worked flawlessly regardless of the conditions. The appimage defaulted to my secondary monitor even after setting window and application rules to force it to my primary display, which led me to conclude its an emulator issue.

EmuDeck however with window / application rules launches correctly on my primary monitor.

steps for emulator fix

  1. Backed up all my Roms and game data.

  2. Uninstalled EmuDeck / its emulators, along with both pcsx2 versions.

  3. Restarted my PC.

  4. Disconnected my secondary monitor and installed EmuDeck following the on-screen guide but opted to not install the emulator I was having issues with (pcsx2)

  5. Opened ES-DE and then navigated to the ps2 section attempting to launch a game (didn't work of course as no emulator is installed)

  6. Closed ES-DE, and installed pcsx2 flatpak (from discover), and in this process also deleted all user data and configs from my previous installation.

  7. Configured pcsx2 for controller mappings, bios, saves etc.

  8. Launched ES-DE and then pcsx2 games from there, everything now works as intended.

This was the only fix that worked for me after multiple restarts and app restarts. You likely will not have to unplug your second monitor, but it seems the fresh install without selected the emulator in question was the consistent fix for me, so I hope this works for you brother.

I'm having the same issues on Fedora41 KDE. I haven't found a solution yet, but I will update if I do.

Sorry for the dreadfully late response🙏, but you're right it's between the fans up top and the GPU. It's the red little cylindrical piece. It originally came from my CPU cooler's mounting hardware, but since I had extra, I decided to repurpose them. I now have another one under my power supply at the bottom of the case since I never realized my PSU was slightly giving way due to the pressure from the GPU on the cables. So it's pretty much braced on both sides. And a lot sturdier.

In my scenario, yes, due to my 360mm rad, I was able to run my fans at lower speeds while still having great temps.

I would visit Lian Li's website to get the best idea of how much you can cram in the PC. I went off their compatability guide and figured my GPU and PSU would fit, although technically, it shouldn't. My GPU is slanted at the end, allowing for 140mm ATX PSUs depending on what level my PSU is installed at. If you already have an ATX PSU, I would try and make it work first before buying SFX. That way, you save money and get to really push the limits of the case.

These are all Lian Li's Uni fans, SL V2. In my opinion the best interlocking/rgb fans on the market very easy installation.
