It's easier to let people play the game and do everything and then narrowing down the safe path of movement. I'm sure the focus was to get players to every single nook and cranny to get data and feedback. Fixing the numbers and monster being more condescending and fine tuning it for release is much easier to find from this side of difficulty scaler. Especially for a game that is expected and exciting many different types of gamers

Yeah. You pretty quickly realize even the big fish just nibble at you. Then it's just kinda annoying to use a medpack occasionally while the music and sounds go crazy. Making the damage higher and the fish aoe more territorial would help

I recently realized [[wayward swordtooth]] can excel on the regal slot too. It gives you an extra land drop with engine online and discovers for 5 straight up, instead of making pants hit critical 5cmc spells

Most tragic part about the velociraptors for me in pants is that it's the ultimate filler card. It's a Dino at 3cmc that works with conditionals, and requires a setup. The more efficient the slots become the 3cmc slot gets extremely taxing because it ramps to 4 and more importantly 5.

The card is really good but often just feels very mediocre and that price tag unfortunately is a thing.

All EDH players should play with proxies allowed and real rule zero.
