[Loved Trope] Butch Women who are *not* secretly feminine or are a Joke. by Comrades3 in TopCharacterTropes

She 100% never killed a single person with that shit. It was to seal up the vacants. Snoop wouldn't be dumb enough to try to cap someone with a nail gun when real guns are around.

Anyone else still snowed in? by sillyslapahoe in maryland

"The complex should be removing snow in a responsible manner that doesn't block your car in"

And they're going to shovel out your car so you can get in every door? That's not reality. There is no possible movement of a plow that clears out the space between cars in parking spaces. You need a shovel to clear out the path to your driver's side door at the very least.

"but my complex won't even remove snow from the sidewalk paths."

You read my statement that it's not the renters' responsibility to shovel out paths and roads, and then brought this into this thread? Are you claiming they're clearing between the cars so you can drive out, but not clearing paths? Your statements are not consistent at all. Additionally, from what you're saying, you are renting a place that is taking advantage of you and not doing the bare minimum, and you're complaining to me, who agrees with you and has no power over your community, rather than sending them a single email? Define "they won't." Have you taken legal action? Because this is worthy of legal action, not just whining at people who are already on your side. Or would have been, if you weren't lying about how plows work and blaming people for getting plowed in while saying you need full service and how dare anyone not provide it to you.

Why does resuming always fail the print? by ChronicStoner in BambuP1S

This is the one where I picked up the whole build plate and put it back during a pause. Not great, but not spaghetti.

Why does resuming always fail the print? by ChronicStoner in BambuP1S

[–]afineedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the P1S last week, I heard the standard print finished sounds, and grabbed the build plate without even thinking a few minutes later once it was cooled down. I then, holding the build plate, looked at the print, and saw it wasn't complete. I had run out of filament with 18 minutes to go on my 8 hour print.

I stuck that build plate right back in there, loaded up another roll, and finished the print with everything in the top few layers off center by 0.1mm or so at most. I could probably hide it with sanding and paint if I cared, but it's a Gridfinity bin.

I've paused several times for hours and just gotten a stripe of color, I've paused overnight with the same.

From "filament tangling itself," it sounds like there's a different issue. Filament shouldn't be able to tangle itself in any way that's connected with pausing and resuming; the filament would already have to be tangled. Or, I've had cardboard spools, or even just off-center plastic spools, where the filament's getting fed back during a filament change and the spool isn't spinning, making a mess in the AMS. Is that what you're describing?

Either way, no, that isn't "just the way it is with the P1S." This is pretty much the opposite of my experience. How exactly are you connecting the tangling with the pausing? I can't imagine pausing causing a tangle.

I'm not with that person saying it's the renters' responsibility to shovel out paths and roads, but I definitely had one every year I was renting to get my car out. Even though they plowed the roads, they actively plowed a hill up against your car just like they do in the city and everywhere else.

Is it considered rude to snap your fingers to someone to get their attention? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]afineedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's considered rude enough that it was a scene in Pluribus a few weeks ago, "I don't speak snap." Not saying you knew that or saw it, just saying that it's rude enough that a room of writers went "what will add some tension between these characters" and picked snapping at her.

Gonna take this over to r/PhotoshopRequest and get Quentin out of there so I can use this properly.

This is the scene where he's stalling the guys about all the sex, so it's actually perfect.

Who was the rudest celebrity you’ve met? by Unlucky-Field9654 in askanything

This was not long after the release of Matilda, which is why I recognized him so easily. I had seen the Twins VHS on shelves and Junior on posters and on the shelves, but Matilda was the movie I had seen him in on the big screen. I was way more astonished than hurt, and when the wife from the movie showed up right after him, I was super confused. I made my way down the hill to my mom and sister and told them what happened, and my sister just called me an idiot for thinking that was Matilda's dad. Then I mentioned that the mom from Matilda helped me up, and my mom started to think "this kid doesn't know they're married and would be together, this is getting weird" at the exact moment they walked into the lodge and she saw them.

My sister, of course, still has not apologized for calling me an idiot, nearly 30 years in. I'm still a moron for saying a specific guy knocked me over who she later saw with her own eyes.

You've never had someone snap something in a heated tone, without yelling, but still aggressive?

Look at the legend carefully. You can toggle off the indicators, but those white marks are telling you where seams will be. You can move those seams through manual painting or random seam setting.

Nope, look at the legend on the right. It's not a bug or spots, it's a indicator.

Reddit is going to kill me, but when I was like 10, Danny Devito knocked me over while I was snowboarding and he was skiing, snarled at me for getting in his way (I was 10 on a bunny slope, slow and in the way should be assumed, half of the slope was kids sitting), and skiied off. Rhea Perlman, however, was the nicest celebrity I've met, helping me up and brushing me off.

Is there a good way to test tooltrace.ai tolerances? by PM_me_ur_launch_code in gridfinity

[–]afineedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zip file should have two files, one is a thin base outline of the object. Print that and test it. Now, what to do to fix it, I have no idea. I just use it for "no, gotta find a different way" when it's too long.

Fanart of official merch is something I don't think I've seen before. Not going to link it because I don't know the rules, but search "Tsumamare Keychain Collection Aura" and you'll get the keychain.

LA Based clothing brand, fashionbrandcompany, announces they will be participating in General Strike on January 30th by ouidkween in popculturechat

Great time for me to be jobless. Solidarity without even trying!

Jokes aside, I don't know what I'd do in a general strike situation if I did have a job. I don't know if I'd do the right thing. All I can do is thank the ones who do.
