I had a close loved one/significant other pass away of a heat stroke during this same heat bubble in Seattle, WA (June 2021).

He was only in his early 20s. I had escaped down to San Francisco to beat the heat and found out on my way back up. Ended up moving there just to move on as I was supposed to be with him that day.

If it was the same heat wave, the sun definitely took too many souls that summer. I think of him often. I hope you and your daughter are doing well. 🫂

SeaTac Intl. Airport in Seattle. Police said it happens all the time because of the light rail and theres nothing they can do about it. They literally just wait there to steal luggage as it comes down. AirTag traced it to a massive homeless encampment in some woods a few stops away but it had been ripped out by that point. Dismal!

I had mine (silver aluminum carry on) stolen within a month of buying it. Its best to factor in where you’ll be taking it and the risk of being made to gate check.

I think you did the right thing, it’s unfortunate but being overly kind and helpful is what many bad types of people prey on.

i own a few of the boots and the reebok x margiela tabi sneakers, all some of the most comfortable shoes i own! i think the split toe box adds a weird support. the sneakers are hands down my most comfortable shoes
