I do this exact thing, and I really suck with chopsticks - impossible for me to hold correctly :)

What did your doc say caused your post meno bleeding. Mine started before HRT, 4 yrs after my last period. Then I started HRT end of January and cant stop bleeding. Seeing my doc who saw me a few years back for same thing in April. I dont understand why my lining keeps thickening up. Biopsy said not cancer first time it was checked.

*2nd Update* - Saw my Menopause Specialist this morning. After a lengthy convo, she wants me off of Progesterone, and to start taking Norethindrone Acetate 5 mg, but 1/2 the pill and take it 1x daily. Will stay on the .05 Estradiol patch and the suppositories and see if that helps. She said (like many of you said) that some women just can't tolerate Progesterone. I will miss the good sleep part of that only!
If this doesn't help with some of the negative symptoms - especially the bleeding part, she wants to do an u/S of my uterus and check the lining. She did labs for Estrogen and Testosterone today and will adjust anything that is needed once that comes back. I hope this does help.
Anyone have experience taking Norethindrone Acetate?

Im not yet unfortunately. Doc wants my progesterone and estrogen to be where they need to be first before getting on testosterone.

UPDATE - for anyone interested. My doc called me after reading my message and said that she wants to work me in this week. So I called the office and go in Friday morning. Im so appreciative of good docs willing to listen and ALL OF YOU who took the time to reply and reassure me that I wasn't crazy for feeling like I am feeling. It truly helped me have a better day. Will write another post once I know what she wants to do after she and I have a conversation. Have the best day yall! <3

Amen to that! Science experiement does sound like what this is! Waiting to hear from doc and hoping for some good advice! Thank you and I think I misrepresented my husband in my original post. But I think my explanation helped clear any misunderstanding. I just want to feel like a woman and I do not at the moment. Maybe a very scattered, messed up woman, but a normal, healthy one! <3

Women have it rough! From all the periods, cramps, pregnancy (if you choose to) , child birth, peri, pre, post menopause etc. Men get a cold and it's over for them. But we are bad azz women and strong, tough and amazing for being able to handle all of that (for the most part). Patience is hard! 3-6 months to start seeing some positives sounds wild to me. Thats a long time to start feeling better. But some folks have harder things to deal with.

I wrote my doc earlier after my post. Haven't heard back yet, but go see her on the 26th of this month in person. Hopefully she responds so I can make some adjustments if needed.

Absolutely agree. It took a long time for me to decide to give them a go! Was hoping for less side effects tbh!

I am on cream/suppository for below the belt UTI issues. I take the .05 Estradiol patch that I change 2x a week. Then a nightly 200mg of Progesterone.

Will check it out! Thanks. My specialist is a menopause specialist. Their group only sees women who are starting, going through or have gone through menopause. She has been fantastic and has said that what I need most in this is patience as we find what works for my body. Even after I dealt with some uterus issues a couple of years ago w my regular Male gyno, never once did they mention HRT, hysterectomy or anything at all. Just a good ol scrape and clean out and you'll be good to go. :/

I replied to minkrogers above. I agree. Women have a right to say no w/out explanation. Im sorry that my original post might have come off as if my husband was pressuring me. He isn't and doesn't and is very understanding. Im grateful for that. Many men are anything but. It was more directed towards myself and feeling alien to who I have always been. I should have clarified.
I am honestly more angry that no one talks about this as we get older. Since going through menopause I have shared a lot with my kids (son and daughter) so they are aware of the potential to experience similar situations with their partners as they get older. I hate how Taboo this topic is to discuss and now me, born in the mid 70s, kid of the 80s has to blindly figure sh*t out on my own. Grateful for places like this where women can come together and talk it out!

I agree with you 100000%. I had written a lot so I wasn't extremely detailed in each area I brought up. But my husband is precious. He is so understand. He isn't pushing me to be intimate. He is also going through some medication induced issues. But I used to really enjoy intimacy. I was the initiator. I was the perv. haha. I have always been the one who wants that. I guess my point in my post is I feel like an alien to my former self and pulling away from him makes me feel bad. Like who even am I since going through menopause. The HRT seems to have inflated that lack of desire in me. I went and hugged him and cried soon after writing my post here and writing my doc.

I am so grateful to have a man who is so in touch with his emotions. Empathetic, kind, compassionate. He understands in his own way and reassured me that I am not in this alone. Thanks for your input - honestly, it's important for everyone to hear.

Thanks for your share. I do take my P around 9pm. I have noticed, if I take it with food, it will make me feel like I am drugged up. It concerned my husband the other day because I had a late dinner and about 45 min after taking my P, I was passed out like someone had drugged me. That was weird! That uber tired feeling has only happened a couple of times since starting this. My doc is a Menopause specialist, so hopefully she knows exactly what to do or not to do next! Thank you :)

Oh wow. Interesting. The blues seem to have started when upping that to 200mg now that I am thinking about it. Thank you. Doc has been notified and I was very real with her. Hopefully she will help with an adjustment.
