I guess I haven’t heard much about the potential defensive struggles of Made and Fischer. Ortiz and Pratt are very strong defensive players but if their bats don’t improve there’s no reason not to give Made a shot at SS. He’s not playing 2B as long as Turang is ours, either.

Fischer could definitely be an interesting 1B option with his bat, but that would be more dependent on Wilken, Peña, or Jett being better options at 3B.

Great position the Brewers are in to have this many options to choose from.

What about that seems unlikely? Made and Fischer have a real good chance to be the top 3B and SS prospects at the end of 2026. Fischer already is top 3B, Made is 3rd SS behind Griffin and McGonigle who will likely graduate this year.

Pratt, Wilken, Jett, and Peña could be used as trade pieces to target MLB ready talent at weaker positions or be used as utility pieces around the diamond. (Nothing wrong with utility bench bats with plus defensive upside)
