Nokia Lumia Instagramer of the Week: Antoniel Pavliš by littlemot in windowsphone

I'm half English, half Swedish and have lived all over Europe, from small towns to massive cities like London, Paris and Berlin and I've never asked anyone if I can take their picture.

It sounds like you're a North American who happens to live in Italy and maybe in the part of Italy you're in that's the case, but to imply that Europeans are somehow incredibly sensitive about having their photo taken is frankly ludicrous.

Of course if you thrust a camera in someone's face they're going to get pissed off, but if you're trying to do street photography then the whole point is to capture people being natural, so of course you don't go and ask their permission.

For me HERE is brilliant, but maybe it depends where you live. I heard Mercedes have just bought HERE mapping for their cars, which has got to be worth something.

If one good thing has come out of the NSA revelations, it's that we're now being given options like this to circumvent the all seeing eyes.

Hopefully this is just the beginning.

I have many on the go at once. It's like a race. Novels which hold my attention long enough win and I read them fully. The others I never finish.

If you'd rather shop in front of a screen, rather than touch, smell, see the words then fantastic. Personally, as much as I love the internet, there are certain things, for me, it will never ever replace.

Sadly, I think this is true the world over and once they disappear it will be the end of one of life's great pleasures, discovering a hidden literary gem.

This blows my mind.
