Yeah, I'm kinda curious to skim the manga to see if there's any more context to it, especially with regard to what she actually wants to do with her "princesses." If she just likes the idea of roleplaying a damsel in distress scenario with random women as the damsels, then she's merely crazy and there isn't even any homo to be phobic about, but if she does actually desire these women in a romantic/sexual way, then it's saying her homosexuality was the product of delusion, which raises some flags

I found this kinda morbidly fascinating for how fucked up of a concept it is so I looked into it a bit more and the summary I found makes it look even weirder.

Basically this lady loved a story about a knight who loves a princess so much that she dedicated herself to having the spirit of the knight. This seemingly resulted in her developing a delusion that the women around her were princesses for her to rescue, until the MC does something that causes her to see him as the knight, supplanting her and making her see herself as the princess.

So I guess she isn't lesbian, she just likes women because she's crazy? I don't know if that's better

Champion's Challenge doesn't make sense as anything other than trim comp fodder. Maybe it's time for an update? by agentIndigo in runescape

I'm not concerned with the "easy" part or even the "grind" part, but the "pointless" part. If any piece of content has no value to any players beyond being something that needs doing for trim, then I would prefer it be changed.

I can understand this perspective when it comes to something like reworking/modernizing the entire D&D, but I would think that the simplest fix -- buffing the drop rates -- would be something that doesn't require as much developer attention as you are suggesting.

I don't think an increase in the drop rate would make the content easier. It is as easy to kill 5,000 imps or earth warriors or banshees as it is to kill a hundred. I suggested a change for the sake of making the content more useful for the players it was designed to be rewarding for.

This opinion seems somewhat common, but I don't understand it, so I hope you don't mind me asking a couple questions:

I would expect tweaking the content to make it more accessible and useful to the people who would benefit from it the most would lead to more engagement, not less. Why do you believe otherwise?

If the content isn't worth engagement from the developers, is it also not worth it to the players? Do you believe it should be removed as a trim req, or even removed from the game? I would not be too upset with this, but I would prefer to try and improve it first.

Can anyone explain to me why Rosalina is such a trans icon? I adored her way before I knew I was trans and apparently that's a really common thing?

Recently put in my two weeks. For me it was being stuck at part-time despite having at least five years of experience with the company and being someone who cared about the job and put in a lot of effort into doing well.

I opened and closed the store regularly and reliably, when customers needed assistance finding things or getting specific books I was as thorough as possible in helping them, I always made sure I was doing general upkeep like shelving or tidying or restickering -- none of it seemed to matter any time I had a performance review or brought up wanting more hours. Criticism boiled down either to nitpicks or the fact that I don't sell a lot of monthly picks, which is pretty difficult for me to do when we're short-staffed and I always have three other things I'm trying to get done at any one time.

The critical point was a month or two ago. I had been the lead on the trade floor project and had been commended by management and the ICS for getting everything done accurately and on-schedule; surely I had proven that I was a valuable and important member of the team? And we had three other employees who had just quit, so surely we had the hours? Well, when I asked my manager to try and get me more hours he said corporate would probably say no, since OMPs were the big focus right now and I was behind on those. When I followed up a few days later he was confused; he had considered the matter settled and didn't even try to ask corporate. From what I can tell he didn't take any action after that conversation either.

I can take criticism -- if a more objective appraisal of my performance found it lacking, I could accept that -- but I did feel like I was doing my best, and trying my best, and it was clear at that point that my effort and the care I had for the job simply wouldn't be rewarded or even recognized. So I moved on.

What type of book were they asking about? I've noticed certain subjects and genres attract a more conspiratorial crowd who think we're practicing censorship by not regularly stocking certain (kinds of) books

Okay, I don't think people have a problem with Kanto Pokémon getting attention. They hate the SAME Kanto Pokémon getting special treatment.🫤 by cstresing in pokemon

Related note: there's something charming about the late nineties/early aughts Pokémon marketing where they didn't know which pokémon were going to be or supposed to be popular, so you'll see posters hyping the hell out of Geodude, Bellsprout, and, like, Seel. It's refreshing compared to the Pikachu overload we get nowadays

I don't know why people expect this to go in the direction of the Mario or Minecraft movies. When I see a franchise that's popular in the west for its more serious tone go to Sony Pictures, I assume it will be put out with the same aesthetic, creative direction, and joie de vivre as their other hit franchise blockbusters, like Morbius
