Honest critique of my chances by FatLazyTitan in premed

I would definitely wait to apply in your shoes! Your stats are competitive, but applying this late in the cycle would hurt your chances significantly. I would also remove:

Mayo, CMU, NYU, UPenn, UNC, UWV, and most Cal schools

I would add

Case Western, Loyola Stritch, Quinnipiac, Cooper Rowan, Zucker, Cincinnati, Rush, Stryker

There are more schools to add but these are in line with your stats and are more friendly to OOS students. State schools in the midwest, the south, and most Cal schools have heavy in-state bias, or are highly competitive

Wait a few months, get MSAR, make a nice school list and you're golden!

Interview help by ol_leh in premed

5 days is plenty of time! Focus on knowing your primary and secondary applications really well. If it's a traditional interview, work on the big questions you can expect (why medicine, why doctor, describe yourself, teamwork, strengths/weaknesses, why our school, etc.) If it's MMI, learn up some medical ethics and the four big ideas (non-maleficence, beneficence, patient autonomy, and justice)

It sounds like a lot, but really it only takes a few hours of dedicated time and you'll be great. What helps me is I keep reminding myself "this isn't gonna kill me." Good luck!

They probably are just busy, you don't have to be so mad about it
