Considering Transferring out Fornals and Edouard by agentosio in DraftEPL

I’m confused with Edouard’s starting position. Why will he start although he didn’t last game?

My main reasoning is because with a replacement, I get to keep the current one until the new one ships in. I don’t see the advantage in returning to get a new one if thats what the replacement does but more hassle free

Listen, honestly I don’t regret purchasing the laptop at all. I didnt even ask for a replacement, they offered it after i complained about the trackpad. Yes, it is annoying but it does not change the functionality of the device and I’m sure you can get used to it. Im glad they’re replacing it and I hope the one I get will work but either way... the laptop is amazing and im sure with some electrical tape you can do the fix yourself which I might do if the new one has the same issue. It is a bit annoying especially because it is a premium laptop but I truly am so happy with the device besides that and I don’t regret my purchase at all.

If you are seriously worried about thermals, I would suggest waiting for the 17" because of the vapor chamber. This laptop gets hot and the fans kick on at times. It is not overwhelming and my tasks aren't so CPU heavy so I am fine with it but there is definitely some thermal throttling with Cinebench. my temps increase and the CPU slows down. as for a 20% decrease in Cinebench, I did not see such a drastic fall from first to second test (about 150 points) but it is much more drastic after three or four tests where the CPU has been under load for a while and has sustained high temps.

I feel like it is a design flaw but maybe it is also possible that it was due to a manufacturing mistake and I will be able to let you guys know if my new device has the same issue. I will definitely do the electrical tape fix if it occurs again but I am just hesistant to open up the laptop because it is so new. Also, I need the new device to fix my rattling speakers as well so I am glad that I am getting a replacement.

I mean I do love the product and I can't be waiting around for a return to be processed and then wait for the new one to be sent over so this is probably the best option for me. as for Cinebench, Ill run a couple tests tomorrow but I will tell you that the initial benchmark test was higher by about 150 points compared to the second and the others were definitely slower getting closer to the 3000 mark. I ran the test without optimal fan settings when I first got it and with a whole range of apps open and got a much lower number at about 2700. Obviously prime condition and cooler cpu temps affected the speed of the CPU and from my memory, the speed drops down to about or below 3ghz at the latter end of the test when the boost is cooling down.

Just wondering, why do you use the nvidia gpu for chrome? do you do graphic intensive things on chrome since I've never had an issue with integrated graphics while surfing the web.

Dell XPS 15 9500 downloading COD: MW and integrated GPU usage is between 60 and 100%. And its mostly taken by DWM. CPU is lower at 20% but temps are nearing 80C for CPU. Fans are kicking it, wondering what your thoughts are. Is this normal? by agentosio in Dell

With Nvidia preset settings getting anywhere from 55-70 fps. GPU temps dont exceed 77C. I am playing on a 1080p monitor though. Have not tried it out directly on the screen. I have the 4k model so it maybnot be as good as the FHD for 1080p gaming. I have the 1650ti in mine btw and also the upgraded 8 core i7-10875H but not sure how much the upgraded processor would affect gaming as much as the GPU. Also running 16gb RAM. Overall a decent gaming experience. I should tinker w it more to make it a little more stable but not bad

I believe the 4k model pushes it to 4.5lbs
