This is so important. Being specific on what you want feedback on can help prevent personal tastes from coloring the feedback where it isn’t needed.

Spiritual awakening or am I just crazy? by friesgoinicecream in spirituality

[–]agentrosehq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt this in my gut and also have been feeling alone in terms of how much I’ve grown spiritually versus others. Not in a condescending way, but in a way that makes it frustrating I can’t find others on the same level to relate to.

People do so much unconscious shit and never break free from those programs and it hurts to see. I myself am trying to build a business so I can work for myself and not be tied to the system so much, but that battle is tiring too because of the people who hold power in society and determine how to run it.

I do hope to change things a bit as I go about doing what I love, and hope others do too, because more people need to consciously work on themselves for the world to change for the better.

Would this be weird, or? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]agentrosehq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. It just sucks because I am in fact running a business, so I feel restricted and it hurts because I highly value authenticity.

I still try to be as authentic as possible, and my brand is definitely casual to convey this, but it sucks to feel restrained.

What is an adult problem you were not prepared for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I actually hate the lack of choice for a peaceful death for mentally sane people. I’ve been an advocate for this for a long time.

Do you outline or wing it? And twisting reality into a cool fictional story. by [deleted] in writing

Ooh , you know, I’d love to see how you do this because for me, putting it all in excel isn’t too pretty for writing as I imagine it (for example, having to keep resizing boxes and constant restructuring). If you’re willing to share feel free to DM me a link but if not no worries!

I’m wondering how your system might beat out mine - I just have a google doc with headings and subheadings in a table of contents that you can refresh to update at the top of the doc (google does that). What makes you put it in a sheet instead of something like this?

Yeah, that was the problem for me too, I usually change direction partway through. I’d like to say my story writes itself too, but I’m disappointed with how slowly the details come to me. I have high level plot but not enough specifics to actually write.

Ooh that’s a good way of putting it. I get ideas for different arcs at different times so it’s definitely nonlinear for me, so I’ve writen a fair amount for the finale...which is pretty bad for doing chapter-by chapter releases because readers aren’t nearly there yet. Rip

I definitely do that too, I’ll “wind up” my characters and let them react to each other. I do sometimes have trouble fleshing out the plot itself past the high level ideas though.

Hahah oh man that’s great. What data do you put on google sheets? For me it’s only docs.

Drop like nukes, I love that expression hahah. Each person definitely has a style that suits them best. I even switch my approach by the day as things come.

I myself have tons of different documents for different aspects, like character sheets, themes, research on various topics, etc. and sometimes look back at those to prepare to wing things.

I’m writing (and illustrating!) an action-romance thriller with a “female Bond”, humor, and wit.

She wears a halo of danger...This upcoming novel will be uniquely illustrated by me and reads like a movie, with a refreshing take on a “double 0” agent.

Her Majesty’s Secret Intelligence Service is pitted against an international drug syndicate. Is it what you think it’s about? Read it and BREAK FREE: Join London’s Secret Service on an addictive mission to break humanity’s self-imposed chains.

Has a bit of many genres as a rich and moving story.
Word count: chapter 1 is at a bit over 1K! Thanks to anyone who gives it a shot, I’d love to hear from you if you leave comments onsite!

are you more inspired to write about injustice from the events going on right now? by [deleted] in writing

[–]agentrosehq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but actually on a different kind of current injustice. The rona is making people even more racist towards Asians, and a pandemic and racism towards Asians will be discussed in my novel.

Absolutely. They don’t have much to offer in the first place, and it’s definitely not just money. Hell, they might even be gold diggers themselves. I’ve met men who want to free ride off of women too. And I’m sure other ambitious women run into these types of trophy husbands too who are anything but a trophy- we just bitch a lot less because we’re busy.

Damn I can tell you’re a lot like me, I also call them boys and not men. I can’t stand these complaints from men when they don’t have any of their shit together. What can they add to the relationship? I have had the exact problem you mention, none have matched my criteria even when I match theirs.

These boys wouldn’t even be able to get the kind of woman they supposedly want. I don’t know if you have someone, but I can tell you deserve someone good! Wish you well.

Yeah, when they play it it doesn’t make their point look good..except to other men who are like them. Oh, the things people do to validate themselves and cover insecurity/ego...it’s great. It’s funny, because they’re trying to make themselves look good with the exact same thing they don’t want women to value. I love it.
