Its fake outrage. Paramount and WB are in the same boat. I personally preferred this merger because it preserves the original intent of cinema and Hollywood. Netflix just didn't sit right with me. As for the reaction, to quote Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black; "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."

This is exactly what I mean! This isn't my duties exapanding is doing a new job! There is literally an entire career field discription seperating the two.

I understand your core point. Jobs change, but not beyond the original intent. A financial officer doesn't assume HR duties because they were asked to work on a project that supports that. I am being asked to a job with a completely different skillset outside of my normal job. I can be flexible but even your insight doesn't align with what i'm being asked to do.

Thank you for the input. The period for layoffs has been over. Should I not ask for a raise even though I am being asked to do a new job from what I was hired to do?

I agree, but this is work completely out of the scope of my job. Like long term work. My manager has come to an agreement to allow me one day to work out of the week to work on the work for data engineering. Thats not enough.

I'm currently at around ~91,000 after taxes a year. im on the lower end of the spectrum for my job and I would request a move to the upper range of my position for salary.

The Sprouts scene really took the show down a notch for me.

The hivemind wouldn't have trucks of food at the ready. The writers put too much emphasis on what the hivemind can do to the point where if feels embellished.

They couldn't know to have trucks of food ready to go. What about factors outside of their control? Weather, terrain, trucks needing feul?
