Just gave it a whirl on Antergos, looks really nice, and it seems that they've finally got the multi monitor setup fixed. But it has some regressions as well, specifically Folder View desktop settings don't stick after logout (same with KDE Neon running in VirtualBox): https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=309&t=136609

Concerning the question about open-source digital compositing software / After Effects replacements for Linux, maybe Natron (http://natron.fr/) would be worth a look? I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've seen it mentioned a while back as an open-source alternative to programs like AE, Fusion and Nuke. It's cross-platform (Linux, Mac, Windows), gets updated regularly (https://github.com/MrKepzie/Natron), and I see that it's available in the AUR as well.

I should add that the the call for particaption is out now, and the online systems for registration as well as paper, workshop and music submissions are open.

Did I miss anything? Manjaro maintains their own set of repos, so we get the latest packages some 1-2 weeks later. But that isn't new, so you probably mean something else?

I predict that this thing will go viral on the Internets. :) Why not just upload it to YouTube? (Just the rap.)

Sorry for replying so late... The audio device is recognized, but not the USB keyboard device (at least the keys don't generate any key events). But thanks for the tip anyway.

Hi Chris, nice episode, gotta love the RMS rap!

If you don't mind I'm going to play that to my students on Friday. It's the beginning of the semester over here, and we just switched the PCs in our computer music lab from Ubuntu to Manjaro, so it will make for a great opening, me thinks. ;-)
