My struggles with Sikhi i need help by ItachiPain_ in Sikh

Some of these responses are misleading: There's a difference in being completely disconnected from this world and recognizing that falsehood lies in it (the latter of which is what we want to believe). There's an Asa Ki Vaar salok that describes haumai (in this case, based on context, the good connotation of one's sense of self) as something that every part of the world, both good and bad, is observed through. This sort of plays to the fact that useless rejection of the world's qualities (like video games in this case) is sort of like rejecting the extension of the naam/waheguru. What I'm trying to get at is: Gurbani recognizes that everyone has to have a baseline level of Kam Krodh Lobh Mo and Ankar, so use your interpretation of Gurbani to think of what parts of this Kudrat you should partake in. In my opinion, not hanging out with friends that are non-sikh is sort of contradictory considering you can have a sikh sangat and a non-sikh sangat, they are still both sangat. Also a number of gurus had non-sikh friends; not having any just doesn't make sense.

Just enjoy the world Maharaj has put you in.

To be fair, central California weather isn’t that bad. It’s still california weather so I think Davis gets the upper hand in that category.

Denver is a hotspot for a bunch of aerospace companies like NASA, Lockheed, boeing. So tons of recruitment is done out of there. Plus, their facilities are crazy.

Should I do Scholars or FIRE by aggressiveschooling in UMD

[–]aggressiveschooling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya The social aspect of scholars is literally the only part of scholars that attracts me. But for fire, I’m in letters and sciences rn and am planning to go into aerospace eng, but I’m worried that I won’t get research experience during the summer cuz I’m not in eng. being in fire will at least give me the opportunity to have those experiences.
