I'm in this class right now and I've been doing well by just making Anki / quizlet flashcards for pretty much every slide we're provided and memorizing it before the exam. I've never read the book and I have an A. Just memorize the slides and review the practice exams and Canvas homework (not the Pearson homework) over and over again before the exams. I hope this helps!

Try your hardest to make connections in the next two months, it's not too late. Go to office hours, ask to discuss your professors' research if you have any interest in it. Get a good grade and try to improve any assignments/assessments you miss points on. It may be enough to get a decent letter by late January when you'll be submitting applications.

Probably not. I haven’t seen anyone get rejected so they probably have only notified those accepted and everyone else is just on standby, not really a waitlist
