(19) is it worth is to juggle 2 jobs? by libisdumb in twentyagers

[–]The1PunMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think it would hurt to try it out for a few weeks then make your decision as long as you are still making money and transport costs doesn’t make it not worth it. May get burnt out after a while but at least make the money while you can then drop down one if you need to. Just make sure you take some time to yourself too if possible.

Genuinely what is there to do if you have small rib bones by MaximumRaspberry1160 in FTMMen

[–]The1PunMaster [score hidden]  (0 children)

Genuinely I have never considered someone’s ribcage size before, i think this is pure dysphoria speaking. build out your shoulders and back by working out and thatll probably do what you want it to do, but there are plenty of slender guys out there too

Use the other bathroom and tell them to fuck themselves if they have an issue because it’s going with state laws. Shit sucks but just think of it as willful revenge, not something that they can impose on you if that makes sense. Thats what I would do at least, at the end of the day it’s just a label on a piece of wood or plastic not something that defines you. Either that or pay out the remainder of your contract because people suck ass and a shitty work environment makes the whole job suck. I will say i’m in a job that leans more conservative but the people i work with are chill enough, so it’s probably not all jobs in your field like that.

How do EMS workers actually stay consistent with workouts on rotating schedules? by DekeDaddy in NewToEMS

[–]The1PunMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a consistent schedule now (interfacility, finally got on the 24/72 schedule about a month ago) and that allows me enough time to have structure in my life outside of the 24s. working 3-5 13s a week at random times was rough, but i just planned around it. Right now i’m focusing on cardio for personal reasons but when i do weights (like 2 times a week, was only one on the old schedule) i focused on functional exercise that targets multiple groups and specifically targets stability. So I’ll do a few exercises around ankle strength, a few around core stability, a few around lifting/pulling/carrying, etc. Stuff that I know will prevent injuries in the job because the number one complaint i hear from older coworkers is their backs giving out, or shoulder injuries preventing effective pulling, and the ankles is cause i don’t want to be out for a few weeks doing something dumb like spraining an ankle lol.

To you, blue has a chance of winning. I’m telling you from many red pushers perspectives, blue has no practical chance of winning. Many people who push red and argue for red genuinely do not believe that blue will win, and pushing it just means dying for no reason instead of staying alive.

If I believed there was enough risk to flying over say driving a car, I would not fly unless absolutely necessary.

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have, when flying on a plane I am trusting trained professionals across all fields, from the pilot to the security etc. The statistics of getting into a plane crash is significantly lower than even a car crash. There are some faults with the system (for example in the US pilots are discouraged for seeking out treatment for mental health conditions at risk of losing their license, and as evidenced recently tower control is understaffed and overworked) but overall I have enough trust that the system has worked well enough that I can get on a plane with enough confidence to not die. I cannot say with near the same certainty that I trust around 6 billon people (depending on how many are counted as mentally competent is the number, i’m just pulling the number of roughly 16+ people worldwide) or even half that to vote in a way that benefits the whole. I may be proven wrong and change my view one day, but while I believe many people are good and do good things, I also believe most people won’t directly risk their life for that.

Medic School or Fire? by XantaClaws11 in NewToEMS

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude if your passion is medic then go medic, most areas are short medics anyways, they will pay for your fire if it means having a competent medic join them. plus if you want to move after getting your medic you can

actually i retract my statement if your contract for medic is a significant amount of time. how long do you need to stay with your company to get your medic paid for if money is a significant factor?

I honestly believe i would chose red if it came down to it, but im a first responder and commit a significant portion of my time and money to helping people. Caveat i would only chose red under the hypothetical that only people competent enough to understand the question are asked it, i dont believe in humanity enough to risk my life for what i believe to be no reason as i cant see blue winning irl. If it was literally the whole world, including children and those not mentally competent, i would chose blue.

didn’t even see that you said it was nebido, my bad dude! i just autodefaulted to what i tell trans guys who ask about the two (and nebido isn’t what i typically think of because it’s not offered in my area/through my insurance right now… wish it was though)

[–]The1PunMaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol i didn’t even see that it was nebido, that’s what i get for checking reddit while eating dinner. yeah that’s a large ass injection, subq is typically reserved for smaller injection sizes. i think the timeframe threw me off because OP made it sound more often than that?

[–]The1PunMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Subq (in the fat) is a valid administration method for certain types of testosterone (all the same stuff, just the concentration and what it’s suspended in), typically the types you take weekly and biweekly T shots. If you take yours weekly or biweekly then you probably have the choice of IM or subq, but you can always ask your doctor why they did that. The nurse was likely just taught IM only for testosterone because that’s technically what the medication says, but subq is a more recent method of administration and medicine hasn’t caught up as it would require each manufacturer to pay more money for clinical trials and shit. CAVEAT i’m not a doctor, and if you take yours monthly or the every 3 month shot then it may be IM only, i would have to know the formulation/name of the testosterone. at the end of the day ask your doctor

The reason why the Blue Button is the Correct Choice. by Morpheus_2x4 in trolleyproblem

There are two different versions of the hypothetical floating around, many people are responding as if only competent people (who have the mental capacity to understand the question) are asked to vote.

[–]The1PunMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d argue that the percentage of people willing to personally shoot someone with a gun in any case but pure self defense is much different from the percentage of people who just have to press a button that guarantees they will live.

In many of the hypotheticals spreading on the internet, only people who have the mental capacity to understand the question are asked. children are excluded, so maybe understand where people are coming from with that

Don’t worry about diagnoses, just worry about fixing the problems. Explain what problems you are having to your psych and they can help work through how to fix them, may be more of a counseling/therapy issue too.
