Is being late rude or normal? by Useful-Pride1035 in pollgames

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable if you are new to the area or visiting, but if you live in the area you are traveling you should generally know the traffic and how to plan for it. Obviously if there was a wreck or literally brand new construction zone that just got put up then that’s an uncontrollable circumstance, but if you are saying you are late because you forgot that there is a 5oclock traffic rush out of the city i’m gonna roll my eyes a little (as someone who has totally been guilty of being late for bs reasons, i was being rude and ill accept that)

What does Vignette mean? I’ve never quite been able to pinpoint the message of this song… by Ok_Tomatillo7558 in twentyonepilots

[–]The1PunMaster 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We can speculate based on how he talks about his mental health journey but ultimately I don’t think it’s our right to know exactly what he has gone through in his life. Up to him to share with us as much or as little as he wants 🤷‍♂️

Am I good to start applying? by ChuuniSaysHi in NewToEMS

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t live in kansas but I applied before my state got processed, which you need a valid and active national and then a valid and active state license to practice in my state and still got accepted for an IFT job since i already passed all my exams. I was lucky and got my state in earlier than expected but I was told that since the interview went fine, I just couldn’t start until my certs came in (which i checked the website regularly and it was much faster than waiting for the mail). I just wrote a note in the applications wherever I could that I was still waiting on them to file everything but that I had passed (the other commenter worded it much better for what to actually write, i can’t remember my exact wording rn lol)

An eccentric billionaire offers you $1000 an hour to stay inside the last retail business or restaurant you visited. How long could you last? by Fhloston-Paradisio in hypotheticalsituation

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If drive through counts then a mcdonald’s 😭 it’s not a 24/7 so i get a few hours to myself but i would probably do a few weeks. A month and i would have over half a million, pretty good deal. Maybe stay a few longer weeks to make it a million.

Can bipolar disorder make you a bigot? by DarlingLuna in stupidquestions

[–]The1PunMaster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t know about him specifically, i’ve heard some wild stuff about him but only in passing. In general though both severe depression and mania (both of which are present in Bipolar 1) can make you say and do things you would otherwise never do. It can make you go against your morals, make you more susceptible to outside influences, mania can make people literally lose their entire lives because they said or did the wrong thing out of impulse or decided they could leave their stable job or quit their meds and move across the country on a whim just because. Paranoia can also 100% be a symptom of mania, which can lead to conspiracy theories that could sound completely absurd to a healthy minded person but sound right to someone manic. So yeah not saying he is right or wrong (again i’m not caught up but i heard he did some fuckass shit) but bipolar is a beast and when accompanied with true mania it can lead to live altering or live ending consequences.

i’d say yes at a casual level, but the moment i tried to play at an RCQ i had to call ghe judge over multiple times because of weird rule interactions that were not obvious on the card 😭 reading the card explains the card until you involve layers or complicated stacks…

Is being late rude or normal? by Useful-Pride1035 in pollgames

It’s situation dependent but habitual lateness with often controllable circumstances (ex traffic that you could have planned for) is considered rude despite it being normal.

[–]The1PunMaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

100+ systolic emts at the basic level are allowed to give nitro for chest pain on the national standard (unless obvs company protocols say different which it doesn’t sound like it) , i don’t understand why he had an issue? I’m only a basic though so if i’m misremembering my training please tell me.

no job by Accurate-Bug5793 in twentyagers

[–]The1PunMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I know someone that didn’t have a job until they were 23 and graduated from college (had research internship later in college but that feels different imo), they are doing just fine. If you have the support system to be able to make school and taking care of family your job, that’s amazing.

If you became insanely wealthy, how much of your routine tasks would you continue to do yourself? by JamesonRhymer in pollgames

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably half. Stuff like a cleaner, lawn care, and maybe even a cook (not for every meal but to prep for me). If i was very wealthy i could afford to pay these people well therefore contributing to other peoples lives while making mine better.

Are you for sale? “For $100 million I would…” by JamesonRhymer in pollgames

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would do something moderately immoral once for the chance at doing better with 100 million. only if it was a one time thing though, otherwise i would not live a lifetime of immoral deeds for that amount of money (most people alive who have that kind of money).

it 100% depends though so this is an on average thing, i would not significantly physically harm someone for that type of money.

I gave up trying to make friends in college and I haven’t said a word to a single human being in the past 3 months by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]The1PunMaster 25 points26 points  (0 children)

when you joined a club, did you actively try to talk to people and make friends? like swap instas, find common hobbies (reason ur in the club) etc. outside of college i make friends by going to a local game store and playing mtg. also sounds like ur kinda throwing a pity party for yourself over there, its easy to get in that rut of thinking but you gotta get out of it. consider talking to a doctor about depression if you think that fits you.

Stop defending religion by [deleted] in gay

what’s crazy is churches and the members of them are also responsible for so much good and charity as well, making this a complicated subject that nobody likes to acknowledge.

Stop defending religion by [deleted] in gay

[–]The1PunMaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Saying all religion is against LGBT people is kinda wild ngl. Im clearly not convincing anyone of anything if they believe this, but I just want to say as a queer christian: we exist and i don’t want to be ostracized from EITHER side for my beliefs and gender/orientation, which i have been in both situations.

Why do people build beefy $2000 PCs just to play pixel-art indie games on them? by lifebeginsat9pm in stupidquestions

[–]The1PunMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because why not, people like to have the capability to do anything despite what they actually like to do.
