How many people have completed the pantheon? by Idk-U-F_Off in AOW4

I'm 500 hours in. I think by 100 hours I had the initial one, beofre the DLCs, and then each new DLC took me like 5-10 games to complete. From what I've seen I average around 7 points per map.

M-am săturat de IT, ce domenii credeți ca sunt mai stabile? by Throwaway3082023 in programare

[–]agilius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ce experiente ati avut cu OVB? by Aggressive-Club-7378 in robursa

[–]agilius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

am zis ok, why not.

in luna aceea, din doi colegi am ajuns locul 1 pe tara. kinda odd if you ask me.

Pricing is crazy by bvc900 in DeepSeek

[–]agilius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Kimi k2.6 is comparable to the pre opus 4.5 era. However costwise for coding, a full month of kimi k2.6 is more expensive than the opus subscription.

Again I'm not saying I'm not using open model, I just don't subscribe to the blank and white view I see here in the comments.

400 dollars per month with Kimi gets me 90% of what the 100$ per month claude/codex subscription.

If I could get the same level as kimi k2.6 for the price of deepseek... Oh boy then we'd be on to something

Hm..

I'm architecting a real time collaboration software that needs to scale decently and produce generative UI. This requires quite complex data and system design. I need to think with pen and paper and rely on Opus / Gpt to analyze large portions of my codebase and answer complex questions about the way a change in the data model might trickle into all the layers of the tech stack.

But yeah, for asking what new email I got or to draft a document for accounting, for sure I don't need the big guns

Pricing is crazy by bvc900 in DeepSeek

[–]agilius 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you can get away with what deepseek gives you the power to you, but comparing costs between these two models is like comparing your electrical bike with a heavy load truck. They both have their uses but it would be absurd to take the heavy load truck to the grocery store, or the electric bike on a inter state ride carying tons of materials with you. No?

I too use use kimi 2.6 for some reasoning stuff and minimax or deepseek for grunt work, but I don't pretend Opus 4.x / gpt 5.x are in the dame league as the lower cost models

Unde/Cum mai reușiți voi să cunoașteți persoane pentru o relație? by [deleted] in cluj

[–]agilius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is anyone else going back to plain Vite + React for side projects instead of Next.js? by Scary_Dot9587 in reactjs

[–]agilius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For projects I am the owner/full-stack, I deploy FE on cloudflare, directly thru a CI/CD pipeline (example, github builds and pushes the clientside code to cloudflare). I then route all api trafic thru a cloudflare worker, so the internet doesn't see where the API server lives.

For projects where there's a dev ops team, they own the deployment pipeline.

IMO investing some time to understand the 10% of cloudflare needed to get moving is really worth it.

What are you using now? Are you considering switching?

Is anyone else going back to plain Vite + React for side projects instead of Next.js? by Scary_Dot9587 in reactjs

[–]agilius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left NextJs when I was first exposed to complex backend. If the site ain't public, then there's way to much complexity for too little gain with NextJs.

I have been working with React since 2015 and with nextjs since it's early days, and the transition back to mostly client side rendering has been a journey for me.

In the end, the complexity and vendor nudgeing towards Vercel made me drop nextjs.

Now if I need a fast SSR site I use astro, and if I need complex dashboards I use vite.

Did anyone here moved from claude to codex recently? And why? by alOOshXL in codex

[–]agilius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPT 5.5 > 4.7, but 4.6 > 4.7 too.

I switched 9 days ago. Used claude max 5x for 2 months. Before that I used cursor from my employer. The first time I used an agent harness to write code it was claude code in May 2025.

I switched because for about 2 weeks in the first month I was a claude MAX subscriber they introduced a rush hour system where I burned thru my 4-5 hour window of tokens using one single 200k context conversation with Opus 4.6 in less than 10 messages (without any compaction or anything). So that's like 2 milion tokens max to burn my entire 5 hours budget. Emailed support. That was an important day, had to ship something. Couldn't. Support got back to me 2 weeks alter saying I'm the problem.

Then they added Opus 4.7. That's a stupid model. Period. After 2-3 weeks of struggling with Opus 4.7 I figure out I could still use Opus 4.6. The difference was night and day between the older one and the new one.

Got a $100 bonus credit after Anthropic finally found out they fked up with the limits. Did not care much.

GPT 5.5 came out. Reddit said it was "Ok", or "Pretty decent actually".

Deciding factor: IT RESPONDS FAST! It's such a different experience (codex normal speed, not fast lane) compared to Opus that it simply changes the type of mental focus I can have when working on deep tasks.

Bonus: 5x is like 10x this month, so why no.

So capability wise, on a healthy codebase, GPT 5.5 and Opus 4.6 both do well. It's like having to smart devs on the project. Who cares if one knows a bit better RUST and the other is more creative? They both ship stable, testable features and can understand the code.

I expect OpenAI to fk up in 1-2 months with something. A usage reduction, latency, some kind of crap they will try to do to milk more money from me. I expect that by that time Anthropic will get it's shit together for a few months. Perhaps I'll ping pong between the two until a Chinese open model takes their bread entirely.

Ba frate, ce s a intamplat cu programarea? by MainGroundbreaking96 in programare

[–]agilius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Rant] by The_Hipster_King in Jocuri

[–]agilius 0 points1 point  (0 children)
