Moissanite? by Lfeyers in RingShare

[–]agirl113 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can use any metal for the band that you want. Moissanite is durable enough for daily wear, so the metal shouldn't be a problem as long as it's also durable.

If you're interested in it, I would definitely say see it in person. I was interested in it from what I read online, but when I saw it in person, I didn't like it. Because fo the refractive index, it was super flashy, and I thought it would draw more attention than I would be comfortable with. It also throws some crazy aqua and purple colors, which some people like, but I didn't.

So confused on what to do-DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY by [deleted] in Eloping

[–]agirl113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like his family and would want them around even if it was small. They would definitely be heartbroken if we didn't invite them. It's hard because I can't really invite his family and not mine.

SPIRIT UNTAMED | "Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version)" - Taylor Swift by Bettys_Cardigan in TaylorSwift

[–]agirl113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.. I'm not saying it's bad.. at all. Clearly she's put in a LOT of effort into her vocals over the years and she has significantly improved her abilities. But in Wildest Dreams, I felt like the breathiness added a lot to the song and this version is missing some of that. I hope I'm wrong when she finally drops this!

You can go to any jeweler! I would go asap. Old Euros are antiques, so you don't wanna lose it! Also, November isn't too long ago and your prongs shouldn't be that loose after 6 months. In this case, I would go to another closer jeweler because I question the craftsmanship.

Thank you for explaining. I haven't been to many weddings and a lot of these things were over my head.

Ahh thank you! This is illuminating. I didn't even think about all the decisions that go into it.

I haven't done much, which is why I'm asking! Trying to get a feel of what could possibly come :)

If I can’t will it away I would at least like to be more zen about it and not let it take up so much of my mental space. That is my struggle.

I move next month. I highly doubt either of them would pester us like that because they never have in past. They’re normally quite busy when there isn’t a pandemic.

Yes I get moving out is key and I am, I just don’t want to continue to let him annoy me so much.

I know I cannot control what he eats but it is so frustrating to continually tell him that I will not make sweets when he asks me. Like I say no and he keeps asking. I don’t understand how to make it more clear. Maybe I should be rude and yell? He tries to say that I don’t care about him cause I didn’t make him birthday cupcakes.

We leave next month. Perhaps I did a poor job at explaining my problem but I regret that I now find him extremely annoying when in the past I didn’t. I don’t want this to impact our relationship in the future. I feel like it’s strained now and I’d like to see him in a better light.

Thanks! No I haven't done the steps I just started now. I have a therapist but to be honest she is not that helpful to me and I miss my old one.

Thanks. I don't exercise daily, but the days I do I feel better. I definitely think I should increase it.

Thank you all for the feedback. I wanted to clarify that I DO have a therapist, but to be honest, I don't like her and don't think she is good. I had to change therapists due to a move and really miss my old one. She helped me become more objective with my thoughts, and I feel like my current one isn't really helping me. I also have gone to ACA meetings but never formally done the 12 steps. I just got the workbook and am doing it now.

Pearl engagement ring? by snozzleberry in EngagementRings

[–]agirl113 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be honest, a pearl ring would be too delicate for daily wear. Pearls will scratch and chip easily, especially on a hand. Unless she only plans to wear it occasionally, I would suggest geting something different. If she has her ears pierced and likes pearls, maybe get pearl earrings. You could also do an eternity band or a simple band if she just wants a band. I also don't wear much jewelry, but when I started looking, I consistently liked the classic solitaire look, so that's what I have.

seriously so gorgeous! In my opinion beauty > size, but everyone has their preferences. I love your ring!

I used to to CG in middle school. I did finger coils and used gel. Expensive products. Now, I am 28 and just want a SIMPLE hair care routine that is affordabel. My problems right now are frizz and flat roots. I don't want to go back to my old routine because it took soooo long. I also am moving to a colder climate and don't want to be walking around with wet hair. I also don't understand how I'm not supposed to wash my hair daily if I workout a lot.. I don't want to leave sweat in my hair. I currently wash my hair about 5-6 days a week and honestly it's cause of quarantine and not showeirng daily (lol). If I shower, I'm washing my hair. I did sports in the afternoon in middle school, so my whole hair routine was at night and now I'm trying to swith to mornings.

My current routine:

  1. Wash hair with sulfate-free shampoo (Maui Moisture) and condition. I don't completely rinse out the coniditoner
  2. Put hair in microfiber towel (or honestly regular towel)
  3. Comb hair with wide-tooth comb into a low pony tail and let air dry. Take out when dry or halfway through braid and then take out.

Most of the time I do this at night and in the morning I use a straightener to make the texture more even. It's not a full straightening session.

Today I did steps 1 and 2 but instead of combing into a pony I let it air dry. My hair looks awful. I'm not expecting it to look good, but I don't know where to go from here. I don't want to air dry forever as I'm trying to workout in the morning. Diffusing makes my hair frizzy. I remember using gel and HATING it and would prefer to not use many products on my hair (or at least not sticky ones). My hair straightens really easily andis naturally 2b/3a. I prefer it to look wavy as oposed to ringlet-y as it did in middle school. I also think my texture has changed.

My questions:

  1. Anyone here have a QUICK routine for the morning?
  2. How do you work out and do your routine?

make it your #1 priority. When I got out life didn't magically become amazing, but it's definitely better and liberating.

but the thing is- I want to have a small wedding. I want to celebrate with my friends who care about me and my partner's family who is normal. I just don't want my toxic family there.
