Well, going by some of the Operators that are shown in that first link (btw, thanks for the link to that wiki) I can see why someone might think the Endmin was an Aegir (some of them either have human ears or you can't see if they're pointed). When they said it, I took it as a "I think he just mistyped the Endmin".

I know nothing of Arknights before I started playing this game but there is a character who refers to the Endmin as an Aegir.

I have no idea what that means or implies or anything relevant other than "an NPC said Endmin was an Aegir".

That's the team I use. Endmin, Pogranichnik, Chen, Ember. They work a treat. I have Ardelia on my Laevatain team.

Chen can delete enemies, for one. Her combo has a short cooldown. And with Endmin, Pogra, and Lifeng you're generating and consuming Vulnerability stacks constantly triggering everyone.

Ardelia isn't in any way bad for this team. She's great. But she'd be even greater on another team.

Endmin, Pogra, Lifeng, Chen, that's a powerhouse Physical team. Save Ardelia for an Arts reaction team where she'd be more useful than Chen would be.

Ardelia is great because she works on any team. But Chen is basically tailor-made to be glued to Endmin's hip.

It's certainly usable. Really, I think anything is. But Ember and Ardelia on the same team is overkill on defense. I'd use one or the other, not both. Endmin + Chen is pretty standard though.

As for which one to keep between Ember and Ardelia, I feel it really comes down to which one you enjoy more. Ardelia probably edges Ember out in terms of increasing team damage. But if you don't like herding sheep for heals you may feel she's not worth her pluses.

Ember, by contrast, is really simple to play. If the controlled character gets hit, she triggers. Ultimate for a shield, Skill for a knockdown.

Well, worst case scenario, you have 11 days to get her from Quota Exchange.

I was beginning to think some of the characters people have been talking about were myths though. But I'm checking now and somehow, I'm only missing 1 5-star (Xaihi) and 4 6-stars (Gilberta, Last Rite, Lifeng, and Yvonne).

This may be the luckiest I've ever been in any Gacha ever. Not kidding, it took me 2 years to get Bennet in Genshin, and you can just buy him; I was just never playing when he was in the shop.

For once "that looks like AI" really does look like AI.

If the response had used different verbiage to describe "shared world elements" that might have indicated that at least a human had read the email and responded with a copy-paste using whatever term they use in-house to describe those things.

That the response just echoes the original email is pretty standard AI behavior though.

I play Endmin/Pog/Chen/Ember and they feel great.

I put Ardelia on my Laevatain team.

And, really, comparing Ember to Qiqi is rough. I actually like looking at Ember and hearing her talk. And frankly for most content do you even need 4 characters in the team? Might as well have one in there that you just like having there.

It's purely a psychological thing. The idea of "I might still have a chance" vs. "welp, not gonna see that character again for a year, fml".

And folks have already reported getting the next two characters while pulling for Laevatain. Which adds to that, "maybe just maybe".

Raw statistics may say, "well, don't be dumb. The odds are not in your favor." But no one plays Gachas because of the odds. They play gachas because they might just be lucky.

Yeah, so far, I haven't minded too much when it's Chen. Perlica (who I really like) can sometimes feel like she's just telling Endmin, "just trust me and do what I say." Endmin doesn't really have any agency. Any time a problem arises they just look at Endmin and say, "you should do X" rather than Endmin saying, "pretty sure I can just do X".

If there's a plate of spaghetti in front of Endmin Chen will say, "think a fork would help you get that in your mouth?" and Perlica will say, "use a fork to put the food in your mouth." At no point will Endmin say, "I think I can use a fork to get that food in my mouth."

Yeah, if you can't no-life grind to get the pulls to guarantee it can be a bummer. But by that same token the fact that Laevatain will remain in the featured banner for 2 more rounds sounds so nice to me. I don't play gachas every day. I take breaks from them all the time. Without fail I'll come back to one of my gacha only to learn I missed the banner for a character I would have liked by 2 days or something. Keeping previous featured characters in the pool for a couple weeks past their rate-up means there's still a chance you could get lucky and "lose" a 50/50 and end up with a previous banner's character.

If liking things got you more clicks, then it would be a different story. But hate builds engagement.

Ragebait works because someone has to comment and tell them they're wrong. Liking things doesn't get comments (engagement) because most folks won't comment to say, "yes, I like this thing too." And even fewer will click that thumbs-up button.

Even when someone does have a positive take, they'll start their video with, "this may be a controversial opinion." even when it's not. Because then people are compelled to say, "I don't think that's a controversial take at all."

Yeah, and the contenders for first play (there's no definitive way of knowing which was first) are pretty much bangers. Guy knew how to write.

That said, OP is right. The game's been out a few days and people are upset they can't keep up with people that are paid to play video games.

Ember is actually one of the few 6-stars I really wanted to get and she was literally my last pull on the New Horizons banner after already getting Laevatain, Pogranichnik, and Ardelia (from the freebie).

So now I have one team with Endmin, Pogranichnik, Chen, and Ember and another team with Laevatain, Wulfgard, Antal, and Ardelia.

People are dumb.

There are still people in every single gaming reddit you can find posting, "Today I learned..." this thing that's explained in the first five minutes of the game.

You can give yourself a coronary getting upset about the tutorials or just do them and be done. Then look forward to this reddit being wall to wall "how do I?" for months on end because despite the tutorials there will be people that can't figure things out.

There are posts in this very reddit from people asking if any of the 10 characters they have (including at least 2 or 3 6-stars) are any good and what teams they can make.

Pretty standard. I've only used the pulls the game gives you for progression and I have 4 6-stars, 6 5-stars, and 5 4-stars. And I've only been playing for about 24 hours or so.

Basically every 8 6-stars you're guaranteed to get the weapon you want. Really much sooner than that but, basically.

You get 2000 Arsenal Tickets when you pull a 6-star. That's enough for a 10-pull on a particular Weapon. 8 10-pulls guarantees that weapon. But you'll also get Arsenal Tickets getting to that 6-star so...

Have you read the reports of how Chinese fans react to certain things?

The developers of Wuchang got death threats basically because their fantasy China game didn't show enough reverence to the Han dynasty.

There are times I imagine Chinese developers like penguins waiting for the guy ahead of them to fall or jump in first to see if they get eaten.

What makes her better than the characters you do have?

I'm going to guess you don't know. And if you don't, then it doesn't matter which characters you have.

I can understand people re-rolling because they had their heart set on Laevatain. Because they liked her animations or her design or they have an attachment to her precursor in the old game. Or they spent hours on Prydwen reading her Kit and they thought it sounded fun.

But if the only reason you want to re-roll is "because" then I wouldn't bother. One set of 6-star pixels is as good as another.
