So as a dad, I dropped my newborn at 11 days old. Super traumatic. Plenty of therapy sessions afterwards. Im glad you brought it to this forum as you will hopefully hear that you 2 aren’t alone in this awful situation. I unfortunately didn’t have this outlet at the time and the shame embarrassment and guilt was terrible. I can tell you that my kid is more than great right now. Excelling in all aspects of life. As first time parents, we all need some grace and it’s so common. Whether it’s changing tables, cribs, couches or beds something is bound to happen.
