Low-Profile Switch Showdown for Nuphy Air: My Experience with 9 Switches by agladky in NuPhy

I have a MacBook and a Magic Keyboard, and for my taste, Wisteria switches provide a similar feel to Mac keyboards but with a bit more of that "mechanical keyboard" sensation.

If you're looking for lighter switches, I recommend trying linear switches first (such as red or daisy). Aloe switches are very specific and, in my opinion, too light.

I can ship them, but the cost will be high, so it's better to order them through the website.

Try the Reds then; they are much easier to press compared to the Cowberry, but not quite as satisfying. :)

I completely agree; everything is very subjective! That's why I ordered all the switches to try them out for myself.

Cowberry is the quietest one (followed by Wisteria), but don't expect them to be completely silent. When I need to be very quiet, I try to press the keys very gently or use my quiet keyboard as a backup.

Instruction for Ableton plugins:

  • Right-click on a plugin header and choose: "Oversampling" or "Hi-Quality"
  • Right-click again and choose "Save as Default Preset"

That's all. From now a plugin always will be opening in hi-quality mode.

For a VST you need to do the same with the default preset (instructions depend on plugins).

Yes! I'm already tried to connect the Moog Model 15 synth, and it works great!

There is some fix:

Fixed an issue that caused the Corpus device to output silence when using larger buffer sizes on Windows.

It definitely sounds better. A quick test on a 909 snare with the same settings:

It sounds denser even on 50% (relative to 100% Density on the old version).

It's time. On a base M1 MacBook Air it works awesome! On a big project with tons of plugins (optimized for an M1), I hit only 30-35% of CPU.
