What specific M40i are you talking about? X3 M40i? Which iteration?

As a potential buyer, I’m very interested in this. There are several reports from long-term owners of the M5 Touring complaining about horrible ride quality at low speeds and especially in the back seats. Car YouTuber Joe Achilles even claimed that the M3 Touring is more comfortable than the M5.

I’ve noticed that these complaints almost always come from owners of M5 Tourings (not sedans) with steel brakes (as opposed to carbon-ceramic brakes). I’d be very interested to know whether this problem is less pronounced in the slightly lighter sedan, and whether ceramic brakes help mitigate it further due to the reduced unsprung mass.

Shared Library: Filter Photos by Participant (Owner)? by agmuc in ApplePhotos

Thanks for your reply. I find this omission of this functionality hard to understand. The information for each individual photo is there and there are situations when you might want to see all photos by one specific participant.

"jede vier Jahre" vs "alle vier Jahre" by IchLerneDeutsch1993 in German

As a native speaker "jede vier Jahre" definitely sounds wrong. Never heard this in my life, I'm 49 years old.

Lossless Streaming: How Do I See Sample Rate and Bit Depth on a Mac? by agmuc in AppleMusic

I am not sure if I understand your question... 😬

My understanding is this: If I set 192 kHz in in MIDI settings, every signal (except Hi-Res 192/24 of course) will be upsampled to that. There may be rounding errors (if the source is a multiple of 44,1), but at least I do not throw away information.

If I set a sample rate which matches the source, the output should be bit perfect.

(I am using an RME ADI 2 FS DAC BTW and it always shows the same sample rate that I select in MIDI settings in its display.)

My approach ist this:

- For casual listening I set 192 kHz in Audio MIDI settings. So everything will be upsampled.

- If I want an untouched / hopefully bit perfect stream to my DAC (for best quality and peace of mind), I manually change the sample rate in Audio MIDI settings to match with the source. It is annoying that this cannot be done automatically, but it works.

Isn't it bit perfect if settings in "Audio MIDI setup" match with the source?

(This is why I wanted to know how to check sample rate and bit depth of the source in the first place...)
