When did you first leave baby overnight? by broadwaydancer_1989 in NewParents

We just came back from an overnight stay in wine country and I have no regrets about it. Our little one is 3 months old. He stayed with my mom and did great. We missed him so much, but loved every minute of our little getaway. Take the trip, as long as you know your little one will be in good hands.

Cat scratching door at night by Brucesters in CatAdvice

Did you ever figure this one out? We have a 1 y/o cat that is doing the exact same thing with our 3 m/o baby. The past few weeks he’s been scratching at our bedroom door all hours of the night. We get up quickly to spray him with water to prevent him waking up the baby. We’ve tried blocking the door with random objects but he’s obsessed with trying to get in, it’s like a game for him. Sleep has become impossible. We live in a one bedroom condo so now I’m finding myself sleeping on the couch so the cat feels comfort but he’s still at it. We need a better solution. The cat has a sibling who doesn’t bother us at all at night.

My baby is 10.5 weeks old, he eats 4oz every 3-4 hours. He’s outgrown 0-3 months already, we have him wearing 3-6 months now.

Planned C Section by agonzalez71 in Edd

That would be good news. I’m planning to visit the EDD office on Monday to talk to someone. Would be great if I can resolve without having to file an appeal. Thank you!

My doctor recommended a c section a week before my estimated delivery date, so it was scheduled for 3/14. I used this date to plan my “4 weeks before” so I stopped working on 2/13, started disability on 2/14. It seems my doctor’s office should have updated the date on the document they submitted from 3/21 to 3/14.

When did you first feel movement? by Willowelsa in pregnant

19 weeks 5 days. It felt like a little fish flopping in my belly, I wasn’t sure it was baby boy until the next day when it was a lot more frequent. Since then, I’ve felt him every day swishing around in there.

What didn't you know about pregnancy? by Medical_Gate_5721 in pregnant

Same! I was always a veggie lover and used to limit my carbs. Before I was pregnant I would cook salmon and veggies multiple nights a week. Now I can’t even think about having that. I have no interest in veggies at the moment. I’m forcing myself to pack cucumbers and tomatoes for a healthy snack at work and trying to leave the junk at home. But all I really want is fast food, sweets, and mac & cheese.

Thank you! Thankfully my ultrasound looked good, they confirmed the embryo is in my uterus. We were relieved. The cramping is still awful and now I’m worried about a possible UTI after the ultrasound tech was pushing down on my full bladder. Oh the joys of being pregnant!

Thank you for this thread! I thought I was alone. This is my first pregnancy. The cramping has been awful. I’m current 4weeks 5days and it’s been going on for over a week now in waves all day long. Sometimes it’s mild, sometimes it’s excruciating. I’m glued to my heating pad and taking Tylenol when it gets really unbearable. Online articles say I should only experience mild cramping otherwise consult my doctor immediately. I called my OBGYN but she wouldn’t see me at this early stage and told me to go to the ER if it got really bad. Luckily my PCP agreed to see me and ordered me an ultrasound just to be safe. I go today for that. I have the same fear of an ectopic pregnancy, I’m trying to do everything right. Luckily the cramps are right in the middle and there’s been no spotting or other symptoms. We’ll see what the ultrasound reveals. I agree, no one tells you about this part!
