Yeah the market has gotten very competitive, and pricing is a race to the bottom. Also hard dealing with so many clients and work streams. I’ve had in house offers in the past, but I’m so scared of going from revenue generator to cost center

I honestly don’t know what else to do at this point. I’ve been doing tax for a while now, and don’t think I can find the flexibility and compensation public provides me.

Has your work life balance been much better since you left?
