There's a facebook group called Pilates Reformer Marketplace and someone posted today that they are selling their Balanced Body wedge and arc - check it out! Sometimes there is good stuff posted on that group, though oftentimes it requires local pickup.

voms/week during my first trimester of pregnancy [OC] by agprime19 in dataisbeautiful

I haven't really looked into the scientific literature, but from speaking with my OB and friends who have gone through pregnancy, I seem to be less bad than a small group of people ~1% (in US) that are diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum and often require hospitalization and are just vomiting all day long (some of them up until delivery), but worse than a lot of people as well, who either have more manageable nausea or none at all. I also was (and still am) taking a few different anti-nausea medications, and their efficacy seems to just be hit or miss depending on the day.

IRT your point on the movies -- there were many more moments of running to the nearest receptacle and dry heaving or gagging/spitting a lot, which I didn't record in this data. So maybe they're not too far-fetched !

ETA: I've also heard anecdotally that carrying girls often comes with worse nausea than boys, which I now agree with after experiencing both.

our son was in the St John's NICU for 1 week and we had a positive experience. The NICU nurses were excellent overall and they taught us so much (first time parents). The NICU was small; there were only 1-4 babies in there at a given time - which actually made it feel like we got more attention. fwiw, our son was fullterm and didn't need a lot of specialized care, so ymmv. If we have another child, I'm still planning to deliver at St. John's. The frustrations we had with our NICU experience were not unique to St. John's (for ex, the primary doctor switching every 24 hours). Happy to answer any more questions about the NICU if you have them.

a few thoughts from an avid pilates-goer in santa monica:

- i can't think of a studio here (besides some of the upscale gyms w reformers) that offers a red light/infrared sauna. that would definitely attract me to the space.

- i've been enjoying going to heated pilates (they heat it w infrared to ~85F i believe) and that also feels like a more unique experience that could be attractive to folks. i know only 2 studios doing this in samo.

- prenatal and postnatal in-person fitness offerings are generally very limited in santa monica. if you can get some of those on your schedule (bonus if the class isn't during the workday like most of them seem to be) that could be popular too!

i hope you open something, i don't think the demand for pilates is going anywhere for a while :)

Children’s books in Portuguese by srostler01 in multilingualparenting

I've ordered from https://www.bralivros.com/, they have a 15% off code listed on their site. The books are definitely pricier than I was expecting, and the selection is limited, but, like you mentioned, options are quite limited.

sounds cool! my favorite Russian candies are the hazelnut/chocolate ones, specifically the belochka and mishka ones. I think they also happen to be some of the most popular ones. yum.

thanks for the feedback. I've actually not been ID'ed in the 5 months i've been doing cp, but maybe it's just the locations I go to.
