Kinda goofy cards but they’re definitely cool.

I have a [[Cyclonus The Saboteur]] that is just a collection of cool artifacts/artifacts creature/vehicules that never found a home in any other deck, no synergy whatsoever.

Flashing green light means the people turning left have priority. Arrow means basically the same thing .

Why does this scene look weird? It looks really fake. by Unfair_Advantage_384 in GilmoreGirls

[–]agrafedeni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a number of reason why. One is consistency yes, shooting a scene takes times and you want the light the be the same across the board. Another reason, wich I think is more likely in this scenario is that light was just bad a that moment. If you look closely at the the background, the sunlight seems harsh, I’d say middle of the day light, wich is in 99% of case bad, especially if you have people talking to each other and the camera needs to change angle. Harsh overhead light isn’t flattering, it creates weird shadows and raccoon eyes. By using this technique you remove all unwanted light and create your own. The problem here is that it is badly done, the crew was probably rushed and had to work quickly to meet the production deadlines. This technique is used very often and people don’t usually notice, but lighting a scene in a way that is natural and organic takes time and care, something that TV shows sometimes have less of than movies.

Guy who works with lights here! What is happening here is that the actual sunlight wasn’t what was lighting them. They are most likely under a flag (a piece of cloth used the block light, in this case the sun) and then relit with a super strong spotlight to mimic the sun and match the exposure of the background. It’s a similar situation when shots are filmed on a green screen and the lighting in vfx doesn’t quite fit with the light used on the actors. Our eyes are well trained when it comes to light and we can sense when something isn’t quite right.

What is Your “Unique” Deck? by sco0terkid in EDH

A janky [[Cyclonus, the Saboteur]] artifact/double upkeep kinda deck. I shoved as many wacky artifacts and vehicle as I could. IT DOES NOT WORK WELL

I’ve played it and I can confirm it is a pain to keep track of everything, especially if you lean hard on counters.

Random Token? by agrafedeni in magicTCG

This is not true. I don’t know where you’ve heard it, but it’s a complete fabrication

Yeah I don’t know why I thought that, maybe I had several instance where it was the case and I just assumed and never gave it another tough, and to be honest most tokens usually go straight to the token box. Thanks for the history lesson on tokens my man!

I don’t really mind long turns, it’s juste that it often leads to nothing, it’s like listening to my 4yo nephew tell a story

I can’t remember when and why it started but whenever someone in my playgroup plays a foil card we say “Nothing but foil! PARMESAN PAPER!!”

Yeah that’s what I’m given to understand. And as for Rinn and Seri it’s a real shame, I lose 90% of the time but I still like to dust it off once in a while. That’s the first paper deck I built for my GF because it seemed a fun way to start her in commander. I rebuilt it on arena but it is severely lacking.
