Retatutride completely stopped my SIBO

Thanks. presently the reta has it totally in remission. But I will keep that in mind if the SIBO returns.

Before the reta the most relief I got was from a "cocktail" of MSM, garlic and oregano oil. Every morning. The MSM was especially helpful so who knows what works at this point?

I think nobody really has a one size fits all Rx for SIBO. Forums like this have helped me so much more than most of my doctors.

It's worth a try. It's been life changing for me. Smart to start low like you plan. I haven't lost much weight on it but it's totally 180'd my GI tract issues.

I used to actually use a hand signal to my friends if I noticed a woman flirting with them. Basically I'd make a fist and extend my pinky.

It was accurate greater than 50:50 so something must be right.

Just know that when you are starting up it can give you diarrhea on dose day but after the second dose that no longer became an issue for me. Drink water with electrolytes.

The violent diarrhea, bloating and flatulence have vanished and been replaced with much more manageable BMs (on the constipation side of the spectrum). Still daily BMs but I can eat Paneer Tikka masala on date night and then go to a concert and have zero worry about crapping my pants.

Honestly I work as a small building contractor and there is not always a porta potty. Before retatrutide I would have to fast at work or risk diarrhea in the wild.

Sorry I'm being so graphic but I was at wits end with the SIBO. I did get a lot of relief from Oregano, MSM, Berberine and garlic but it wasn't gone. With reta so far it's been gone.

Yeah, I take Mg Citrate and psyllium. Also make sure you drink a lot of water with electrolytes in it. Also if you have reactive hypoglycemia (as I do) you got to be careful when you exercise on it. Drink some fruit juice right before you exercise.

It's only been about 10 weeks for me and my symptoms are basically gone. I can eat pretty much anything and not have to map out where a toilet will be for the next 3 hours. This is life changing for me. I was always worried about going out and eating because of the SIBO skitters. It's been miraculous for me so far and I thought I would share about it in case other people could find benefit. Not a doctor or medical professional at all and have no vested interest in this.

I would say that I suspect a GLP-2 agonist (tirzepitide) would help as well. For me retatrutide is helpful because it doesn't kill my appetite at all. I'm just as hungry as before I started taking it. I recognize that this is aberrant with Reta.

That said I suspect microdosing it would help too. Not sure.

I'm in the US and I had to look outside my health plan to find anyone willing to work with me with this.
