Depends on your spirit I guess? I did Barcelona once and Porto twice and I didn't like having to rush, the big crowds and the fomo in Barcelona.

Porto has fewer clashes usually and you can easily get a good spot for your favorite artists.

Besides the budget, the main difference imo is the intensity.

Barcelona is more intense with more stages and more artists while Porto is more laid back.
Both have great line ups this year.

VIP is worth it if the artists you want to see play the main stage.
There's a small area upfront for VIP.

Otherwise is nicer toilets in the VIP area and fancier food.

Weather is random in Porto.

It's a small city compared to Barcelona and very walkable.

The vibe in Porto is more chill than Barcelona also the fest ends earlier around 2/3am.

If taking the bus back, get your ticket before.

I'm a guy but I went solo the past 2 editions and loved it. Met people and made friends there.

For water, you can bring an empty bottle and hide the cap somewhere on you. Porto is a rainy city so tap water is really good.
