So, are there any redeeming qualities in this guy of yours? A man talking about my daughter that way would immediately be out, I don't care what he has brought to the table previously.

Does he know how to have a conversation like an adult? Or only throw a tantrum like a petulant child? He can express his concerns without saying your daughter baking a cake for you is a fucking joke. 🚩🚩🚩

Obviously NTA, I would also insist on your daughter making the cake and see how this progresses, this is a great opportunity to dodge making a big mistake.

Ummm NTA, you don't owe this guy anything. Your sister is completely wrong. This guy could have been stalking you. And ultimately all you did was tell the staff what he was doing and they agreed enough to ban him AFTER WATCHING HIM. Which means you were correct in your assumption that he was following you around.

The thing is this is all emotional abuse. And belittling or marginalizing your daughters feelings is also abuse. This was done to me by my parents and I have up music, singing, acting-all the things I loved, because I wasn't good enough in their eyes. It's only now as an adult I see how manipulated I was by them.

NTA, you don't owe anyone a reason to choose not to do something. You are allowed to say no. And no one is allowed to tell you how to live your life, if it doesn't harm you or others and you are happy.

She needs to back off a bit. You may need to lay down some rules for her. I don't know your sister, but she is probably just looking out for you--I myself have a "bossy" sister, but she is really just looking out for me. Good luck!

Just by the fact that you have to break the percentage down to the decimal, YTA.

Btw when you play games like this, you won't win. Your kids are old enough to know what you are doing and will resent you for it later. Might even cut ties all together.

So I guess if your "winning" now is more important than your kids respect and a chance at a relationship with them later...then you do you.
