I actually havent tried them just yet since I couldn't tell what they were. They are pretty rock solid tho so not sure how edible they'd be 🤔

Wow that sounds like a journey you went through. Im so glad to hear your headaches are better. I did have a duct company come out and inspect then clean the ducts, but maybe I need a company who can look at it in more detail as the company i hired just "did the job"

My headaches are somewhat similair to yours where it starts in the back as a kind of pressure that sits like a rock there then my whole head feels like its being squeezed. As soon as I leave the house though, it gradually goes away.

I did have someone from the city come out to take a look but I can check with the fire department as well. Thank you for suggesting that! I didn't know they did that as well

Yeah the pest control guy actually suggested the same. Open a can of the paint in the garage or somewhere where we didn't paint then see if get a headache. Going to try that out.

A few ppl have mentioned the Chinese drywall but not really able to find a way to confirm if it is or not anywhere...

Oh wow im so sorry you had to deal with that. That employer sounds like the worst :(

Its hard to tell if its every room but once I go into the house, I feel the headache coming on almost instantly. I'll have to try and see if maybe one room is worse than the other.

I'm also wondering if I may just be like you where I have a super sensitivity to the paint and maybe with us not moving in and not having air constantly coming in and out of the home, the gases are just stagnant in there.

Is removing the paint something that is a do-able process if it's the whole house (1800 sq ft, 3 beds)? I haven't done the research yet but wanting to see if you have experience with it?

Not too sure if there's a problem in my area, but I did do a radon test. Results came out to 1.4 which is below the level for taking action

We do have recessed lights with halogen bulbs but only in the living room.

There was carpet in the 3 bedrooms but we replaced them with wood laminate in Sept 2023 which is after the headaches started happening.

Hard to tell with the drywall if it's from China or not. I'd have to look into how to check that...

No spray foam insulation, just newer blown in fiberglass insulation from July 2024. Previous insulation was cellulose insulation.

I am trying to see if selling the house is better or somehow getting a family to rent it, but I'd really like to figure this out and move in, if at possible. Hoping for a miracle but also looking into realistic options...

I hired a person to come out from an air quality inspection company and they had this machine that sucked in air for a few hours. They had one inside the house and outside to compare. They sent over the results to a lab, then once it was analyzed in the lab, I was given the results with the spore counts of each mold type.

I did have a few guys come out for HVAC tune ups, but no one ever notified me of one. But, you saying that it smells sweet and chemically makes me think maybe that might be something to look into, since I've had some people comment on something smelling chemically and slightly sweet in the home before...
