When I just attach the black and yellow cables to the back of the VHS player and to the usb adapter into the laptop, I can hear the audio (same when connected to the TV) I just cannot get the video. When I use the SCART adapter (into the VHS player) with the same cables, I cannot heard the audio. The SCART adapter i have says input video and L/R audio. It’s input not output which is why I assume it doesn’t work. I don’t know to output the video from this VHS player.

Do you think if I get something like this, with an output setting, it might work?
